There's already enough reviews of this guitar so if you're reading this you know what you're looking for. All I will say is that I am skeptical of a lot of the things I read online about guitars, and generally don't trust anyone's opinion but my own, but trust me. This is every bit of a great guitar and definitely worth buying. This is such a great guitar in fact that my friend who owns a custom shop esp m-1 is now considering purchasing one after playing mine.

Sound : 8
The mahogany body gives off a rich full tone with plenty of sustain. Much more in fact than I had expected. It doesn't sing for days like a les paul, but it's not far from it either. I don't much care for passive emgs (or active ones for that matter), but one thing I will hand them is that they do a good job of making a noiseless pickup, even out of the shit amp I am running this through. I haven't heard one stitch of feedback yet. The bridge pickup needs to be swapped out for a trembucker and is a little shrill sounding, but some people like that sound I suppose. Surprisingly the neck pickup is nice and fat. I probably won't even need to change it. If you're reading this chances are you play metal. Well, I play metal too and this guitar is perfect for it. I honestly wouldn't even bother with a higher end ltd or even esp. The 300 series is really all you need. Change the pickups though. Unless of course you're really desperate to sound like atreyu.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I am the second owner of this guitar. It came to me in near mint condition considering it's almost 6 year age. The action could be lowered, but the guitar came to me from someone who barely played it. My guess is it sat in a closet for 6 years waiting for me to buy it. Lowering the action on a guitar is easy as hell. I guess the dude in korea who set it up took a break when it came time to intonate. No big deal. The flamed maple top is adequate. I've seen the same model guitar with dramatic looking flames, but mine are a little subdued. No flaws in the wood, it's just not as "flamey" as some others I've seen. That's not to say this thing isn't absolutely gorgeous though. Honestly I don't even care about such things. It's a solid maple top and thats all that matters. You're not playing the finish, you're playing the wood. End of story. There are some minor blems/spots in the natural binding, but once again. Not a big deal, and not typical. I was expecting to have to change the generic tuners it came with but honestly I am not afraid to admit I was wrong. For generic these things are rock solid. I can go days without tuning.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Like I said. A rock solid guitar. I think any guitar can withstand live playing so long as you know what you're doing. You're on stage to play music not do gay guitar spins like you're in cinderella.

Customer Support : No Opinion
If you have to call customer support to help you with your guitar, maybe you should take up the clarinet.

I have been playing 11 years. I've had epiphones, gibsons, fenders and this thing beats them all. Well not exactly, but until gibson starts selling les pauls for 300 bucks this one wins it. If this guitar were stolen I would certainly buy a new one after I sold the thief's eyes on the chinese black market.

2000, made in Korea, 24 Jumbo Frets, Three Way selector, emg HZ pickups, mahogany wood body, neck thru, ebony fretboard, stop bar tail piece, thin, wide * if that makes sense * neck. Really, the only feature I WISH it had, is string through body, but I still love this thing so much. I think for this price range, that would be wishfull thinking.

Sound : 10
Ok, I REALLY have been working with this guitar a lot more latley, and it really has no noise flaws I can find. I play mostly heavy music ( Shockwave, Deftones, Grimlock, that stuff ), but have calmed down to a clean duo set with a friend, and this thing is so rich and full of sound, I do beleive it will be comparable to ANYONES style of music, ESPECIALLY blues. It really has a nice blues tone to it, but I don't see limitations to it. I don't have any problems whatsoever with the sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I bought this guitar off the bat because of the fit, and the finish is unreal. See thru black. The action took very little tampering with, but I'm wierd like that, it did, however, have a few small flaws in the paint. Seriously hard to notice, but I am the only one that has noticed them yet. They are two small, maybe three MM, misses in the paint on the side. And the 17th fret is bent just below the high E, but that has yet to pose a threat, but still... kind of odd.
Still, NO complaints.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Seeing as how I am going to buy another guitar to save this one for the rest of my life, I hope, I will never play it live, but I think it would last. Of course, depending on how it is treated, but it is durable... I found that out. The hardware will last a long time, and the finish is still shining like the day I bought it. I had to get new strap buttons, locking ones, but the other ones werent too bad, but not ones to keep if you plan on moving while playing.
YES, I can depend on this guitar for years to come, thats why it is the one I use to record. No shows for a LONG time now, but I really want to hold onto this, but I think I could still depend on it if I took it on tour and stage with me, too. And I do think I could rely on it enough to play without a backup at a show.

I've been playing for three years, but have the knakc for this. I've already bought and sold 8 guitars, but am sticking with this one until I buy the live guitar. I only have a Crate half stack and a Zoom 707 pedal, but they push it well. But with the potential of the guitar itself, I really want to buy some better equipment now, because I don't want to be limited. If this guitar were ever stolen, I would cry for a few months, then buy another one. This is seriously the only material possesion I take pride in, because of how much it has done for me. I love how great this things sounds, feels, looks, and plays. I can only think of one thing, and that is how I wish it were string thru body, but again, thats too expensive. When I was looking at guitars before I bought my H-300, I played some Ibanez, BC Rich, and Gibsons. I liked all those other guitars, but not one of them had the feel the 300 does, or the original sound. I guess the feel is what keeps me on it all the time. All in all, I really have no complaints about this guitar that are serious. It really helped me develop FAST, and it just feels good to sit down and play at night. I sat ony my porch playing blues for two and a half hours, because this thing is fun. I really recomend it.

I beliece it's the 2000 modem, made in Korea. 24 Frets. It's the flame maple top with the Mahogany back. Two EMG HZ pickups. Pretty much the standard set up for the year. Jumbo Frets, rosewood neck which i thought was actually Ebony when i first saw it. It's a reall nice feeling guitar. Although recently i have been gettin fret buz, but i probably just need to tweak the neck. Tune-o-matic bridge.

Sound : 8
I love the sound of this guitar. I own 10 guitars at this time, most are Jackson's and Charvels. but this one is my #2 guitar (second only to my Randy Rhoads Limited Addition.) I've had no problem at all with the sound quality of this guitar. I've been able to get ball busting crunch when i want it, to really clean. Like i said the only sound issues i have had is when i switched to my Ernie ball strings, customer gauge extra slinkys. i get some fret buzz but nothing too serious.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The actually was low. I like it a lot. I had no problem with how the factory set it up. I ordered it through musicians friend so i don't know if they do anything to the guitars before shipping. The pickups were fine, i can't really give an opinion on the neck position pickup as I don't use those on any guitar. But the bridge pickup is great. The flame maple top is great. I had worried about it, especially in green which is like my least favority color (I honestly was expecting this guitar to be a piece of shit for the price. I was really, really wrong) so i just ordered the green one instead of waiting for a re-stock. Anyway the green was great, the flame top is great, I do sort of worry about the tune-o-mattic. it's really light, and i remember the one of my old les paul being pretty weighty.. i'm just worried that it's like pot metal or something and will break. it's something i plan on replacing some day... maybe..

Reliability/Durability : 9
It has withstood live playing. and did so very well. I've taken it out and played it in really crappy weather at Bodega Bay in California, and in almost snowing conditions while camping near Lake Tahoe. It's held up really well through the Elements.

The finish hasn't worn at all. I kind of wish it would, but i dig the whole beat up guitar look.

Strap buttons..... Oh! No, i have no idea. i took those off when the guitar got here and put on strap locks.. (I can't think of the brand off hand sorry...)

I don't think I'd go to a gig with out a backup. It's nothing against any one guitar, it's just the simple fact that things some times go wrong. I'll just say that I'd be just as confident with this guitar as any other.

Customer Support : No Opinion
warrenty? You mean people don't just fix it themselves? Hmm. Uh i don't know. I ordered it through musicians friend. i didn't bothered with the warrenty card. if it breaks either i'll fix it, or take it to someone who can. Worst case I'll just hang it on my wall as korean made art ;)

Overall Rating : 8
i've been playing 18 years. I own a Jackson Randy Rhoads Limited Additon, Jackson Randy Rhoads, Jackson Roswell Rhoads, Jackson Kelly, Charvel Model 1a, Charvel Model 2, Kramer Striker (the new gibson owned version which i like a lot despite what the elitest say against them.) ESP/LTD h-300, two other guitars i'm ashamed to disguss :) I play through Crate amps (until I either get my Randall set up or until i get a Mesa set up.)

If this guitar was stolen or lost I'd be pissed. But I intend on buying several more of them so it's not the end of the world. I just need a good high paying job to support my addition. I have recomended these to friends.

Like i said before it's either my #2 guitar or at worst #3 guitar. Mostly because a lot of mine are V shaped guitars, i can't really just play them while sitting down.. those are more show guitars. This guitar however is just really comfortable. If you have the money for a les paul i'd say go for that, but if you have 400 bucks and you want something really nice, this is the way to go.

All I'd really change is the tune-o-mattic which seems sort of... lite.. After dealing with old jackson trelemlos that were made out of soft metal and broke i'm a little paranoid about the whole thing. but that's really it...

If you already own an other ESP/LTD guitar, you know these are comprised of the best shit on the planet.

Sound : 10
This bastard suits my style of music great. when I bought this guitar it had Seymour Duncans on it, a JB-4 in the bridge and a '59 in the neck position, I will probably upgrade to EMG-85's. If you have ever played a guitar with EMG active pickups on it you know what im talking about, if you havent GET SOME!, you will shit yourself. I run this crazed bitch through a Peavey Classic VTX 2x12, the open coil Duncans can get a little noisy on a pretty heavy distortion, but shit my ass thats why im buying the EMG's. The mahogany body gives a warm, sustaining sound(which is also helped by the clean channel on the tube amp)that is suprisingly resonant even when the guitar is not even plugged in! (playdoh fuckin rules).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This shreeded wheat mother-fucker was setup bitchin when I got it, it played like moist pussy???uh..ya! Not to waste any more time, all the shit was adjusted and routed properly. It has a flamed maple top and a neck-thru body construction, and on that fuckin note, I've seen people on here talkin shit about neck-thru and guess what, thats cool i mean your entitled to your own opinion and all. I personally like neck-thru and thats why I actually bought this guitar, I also have a MH-300 which also has a neck-thru construction and I like it so I bought another one, got it bitches!

Reliability/Durability : 10
" Will this guitar withstand live playing? " like what are these shit questions they ask on these submittion forms, fuck yes it will, what guitar would not withstand live playing, its made of wood for christ fuckin sakes! I guess if you describe "live playing" as backing over the guitar with your mother-fuckin truck five or six times then NO, sorry, "It will not withstand live playing"!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I dont know what this is about?

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have actually lost track of how long ive been playing, a few years probably, and if it were stolen or lost I'd be fucked cause they dont make these anymore. It is alot like my MH-300, but...but,but,but, the only differences are the head stock and bridge systems, and my MH-300 feels a whole-hell lot heavier, someone might say its the "Floyd Rose", well that mother-fuckin Floyd Rose dont weigh no 10 pounds bitch face, its probably just my imagination.

never dealt with them.never had too

i own a peavey, jackson, a crap acoustic and this is by far the best guitar i own at the moment. I love the pickups. It will never leave my sight so i dont have to worry about i being stolen. The neck is very smooth and its neck-through, so no problem reaching the upper frets.

2000 Model, Made in Korea, it features 24 jumbo frets mini block off-centered inlays with the model on the 12th fret, tension adjustable tuning keys, mahogany with figured maple top, rosewood fret board, white neck binding, a neck-thru-body, volume and tone controls, 3-way selector switch, two EMG-HZs, Tune-O-Matic bridge with a stop tail piece, black hardware, and a teardrop headstock shape.

Sound : 10
The sounds out of this thing is awesome! The neck through construction is amazing! The stock EMG passive pickups are probably the best stock pickups I have heard in a long time. The sustain is also great on this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
When I first bought the guitar it came with 10?s on it and the action was amazing low without any buzz. I later upgraded the strings to 11?s and that brought the action up little bit, but nothing that you can?t bring back down. The finish is amazing on these guitars. The Finish is a see thru gray/purple. The neck is very fast and it feels like it?s between and Ibanez neck and a Gibson LP. Not to thick, not to thin, just right.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar has suited me well and never has given me any problems. I sure it will continue to be very reliable in the future.

I honestly think that is by far the best value for the money. People seem to dislike the import guitars, but I think that they did a damn good job when they made this guitar. I like this guitar so much I?m going to buy another one. :)

Made in Korea, Inspected in the USA (ooooooo), 24 frets yada yada... all that stuff. This Guitar is mainly for looking nice onstage, I must admit it looks pretty darn cool (I have the Aqua version). It might *sound* nice only if u run it through 6000 pedals (I like boss pedals personally) mainly because the actual natural tone of this guitar is crap. The body is supposed to be made out of mahagony but sounds nothing like it. Very week and hollow sounding, I sometimes wonder if I got a bad version of that guitar or something. I tried putting really good pickups in it to enhance the sound(like the SD custom or the Distortion and even the Screamin Demon) but it didnt help as much as i wanted it to. Read the Sound section for more details on the stock pickups that came with it.

Sound : 5
I run this puppy thru a VS102R with a Boss Ch-1 in the effects loop, The sound is good for clean (with my Alnico II pro in the neck). Sounds very nice and full for chords, but once u start playing single notes or add some distortion the weakness of the body starts to show and it just flat out sucks (compared to my friends ash body H-200). The sustain on this guitar is horrible. U cant hold a note for more than 4 or 5 seconds. It really bites and its the main reason i dont like this guitar. As for the Stock pickups, I cannot even begin to explain how horrible the tone is on them, check out my roommates reveiw on the EMG-HZs... (gergelyk@u.arizona.edu)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action on this guitar is really good I must say The finish is really nice and looks pretty. Its a pitty this thing doesnt sound good....

Seems pretty solid...keeps pitch really well and doest seem to be unstable....again...its a pitty this thing sounds like crap.

I have been playing in a band for about 7 months now, I have played quite a bit of guitars and this one is not absolutely horrible... but it lacks balls, as opposed to my custom Kramer guitar (I love that thing) or my ESP H- -S but I think its a good guitar if u run the signal coming out of it through a lot of effects and basically use the guitar as a "trigger".

2001 model, mahogany body, maple cap, rosewood board, tune-o-matic bridge with stop-bar, black hardware, two EMG humbuckers, strat-style body, neck-thru, one volume and one tone control. Mine is see through blue. Outstanding finish, way better than I expected. And for only $299.00. What a deal!

Sound : 10
Kick-ass metal sound. I play it through a Marshall valvestate 65 through a ZOOM 505II. This is a hard rock guitar which is exactly what I wanted. Couldn't be happier.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The intonation is off a bit, but that will be taken care of. The action is very low with no buzzing at all. The top is beautiful. I wanted a see-through red, but they only had blue and green left so I got the blue. But when I got it, it's the best looking guitar I've ever had. No kidding. There were no flaws that I could find. The neck is flat and fast. It's perfectly balanced also. Other than the bad intonation, no complaints here.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Seems solid enough, but I just got it. I'll leave an update later.

Haven't needed it yet. Hope I don't need to.

Top notch. I currently have a Ibanez PS10-II (I love it too) and a Cort Matt Guitar Murphy model. The ESP plays and sounds as well as both of them and looks better. If you find one at a good price, grab it. It's well worth the money.

Korean made, 24 jumbo frets, one volume, one tone knob, thru-neck, two emg hz humbuckers.

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds great. The thru-neck gives unbelievable sustain. You get a great full heavy sound from this guitar, and unlike some guitars I own, when you plug it into the amp with a buttload of gain, the guitar is quiet when I'm not playing; no annoying hums or feedback. I did have to do a little bit of work to the intonation on the guitar when I first got it, but it was no problem. Now the intonation is perfect and the thing never goes out of tune unless I don't change my strings until they're about ready to rust in half.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Like I said before I had to do a little adjusting to the intonation, but nothing serious. Pickups were perfectly adjusted. The finish on this thing is called a see-through red and it is beautiful. When I bought it, the bassist in my band said it was the most beautiful guitar he'd ever seen

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've already put this guitar to the test on the road, and it does withstand the test. The finish looks like there's several coats so it will last for a good while. It's just an all around solid guitar. I've played several $700 to $1200 guitars that I would not trade this thing for.

I'm pretty sure that it's either a 2000 or 2001 and it was made in Korea. It's loaded with 24 extra jumbo frets, tune-o-matic bridge, 2 EMG-HZ hums and a 3-way pu selector. A nice mahogany body with a nech-thru-body mahogany neck. A beautiful see-thru aqua finish. It came with one cable.

Sound : 10
I play a pretty eclectic range of music but stay close to the rock side (punk to hard rock to metal). This baby has got awesome sustain and really gives you a warm tone. The EMG's sound great and are really suited to a heavier sound. Surprisingly, the tone control is not worthless on this guitar and can really shape the sound like none other. i play this through a Peavey Bandit with a bunch of BOSS pedals and it really does sound like a dream. When using the clean setting, this guitar sounds awesome!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action is pretty low but there wasn't any noticable buzzing. The pick-ups seemed to be set up to my liking and there weren't any noticable flaws. The guitar wasn't tuned but that's not a biggie.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is one durable guitar and will withstand live playing. I can depend on it and would probably use it without a back-up -- although there are just some tunes that you need a Floyd-Rose type guitar for.

I've been playing for about 11 years and have to say that I was really impressed with this guitar - especially since I hadn't even tried it out beforehand. In addition to this one, I've got an Ibanez 550 and a JEM 555 along with a Washburn acoustic. Compared to the Ibanez's, I think that it feels a bit more comfortable than the 550 but the neck is not as fast as the Ibanez necks. I really love this guitar and feel that, for the price, you can't beat it. It's got a great sound (tone, sustain rock!), gorgeous look, and the feel is awesome. If you see a deal on this one, be sure to pick it up. It's well worth the money.
