My guitar is the Japanese model. And it truly is a great playing guitar. And it is nice looking too. With perfect low action.I am not sure what year it was made.

Sound : 8
I use a Carvin Steve Vai model amp.The disappointment of the guitar to me would have to be the EMG pickups. My old faithful 83 Electra Phoenix guitar has a heavier fuller harmonic sound. And it has 3 coil taps, the ESP doesnt. But this guitar does sound better than my Angus Young signature SG.And my Parker Fly Custom,And the ESP you dont have to worry about screwing it up it is a solid guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The construction of this guitar really is top of the line. And it is heavy ready right out of its case.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is reliable and road worthy. The rythm guitarist Jeff fell on it one night and jammed a big gouge in the front of the guitar with his tooth.Didnt even go out of tune.If that would have been my Parker Fly<<<<Toothpicks>>>Because it is made of Sitka Spruce and only weighs 4 pounds.

Customer Support : 10
No need for customer support if 230 pounds can drop on the guitar and it survives good enough for me.

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing now for 25 years and I have all kinds of guitars and this one ranks high but not higher than my Electra Phoenix.

Pickups are EMG they smoke, they are not thin, they run your amp wide the f open. Kickin. 85 and 81 models

I bought a JH-600 new from SA on 8-9-2006. I traded in a Ernie Ball Music Man I bought new in 2000. The JH-600 looks excellent, sounds excellent. Having it a few weeks now and playing it 4-6 hours a day, I have no complaints. The ebony fretboard is the key to me. I have a Hamer Chapparel from 1986, not a CA. It has a Ebony FB and, now, worn out frets from 20 years of shredding. No other guitar that I have tried out/owned has had the action and sustain of the
Hamer's Ebony FB. This Hamer (check Judas Preist Website) was made in their USA factory custom in 86. I use a JCM 800 head, TC Electronics Fireworx effects. And Love METAL METAL METAL. Its not noisy at all until you hit the strings, then it cranks. Excellent. FAT ASS Sustain and Full on Sound. What else... METAL METAL METAL. KICK IT...SAM

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action is Great
Pickups are Great
I screwed up this review badly by not scrolling
down to see the questions. F it . The guitar it cool
I like it. It isn't for Pop or country. Got it?
Slayer, King Diamond, Exodus, Sepultura, Mayhem, Vio-Lence,DRI,
Judas Priest, Cannibal Corpse....

Reliability/Durability : 10
Reliable, don't carry it in a gig bag. You will hate yourself if you pop the headstock, its easy to do. I busted a RR Jack on a airplane ride using a F Gig Bag long ago.

Customer Support : 9
Haven't dealt with LTD/ESP cust. support but I imagine they are busy as hell because they sell a lot of Guitars, this cat. I am giving a 9. But I have no exp. with them. They may be great, if you stay on hold for a few min/hrs. METAL METAL METAL SAM

Overall Rating : 10
I have answered all these questions. I have been playing 20 years. I love METAL METAL METAL. Work those scales, get free lessons off the internet. Play your axe at least 45min 1 hr every day. Carry it to your party house and hold it, sleep with it. Every minute counts. Listen to your local college radio on Friday or Saturday night, call and ask them when they play real metal. You won't hear Cannibal Corpse or DRI on your local rock jock commercial stations. Learn to shred at 13yrs old. Kik A METAL METAL METAL

I have the 2004(with S and Key inlays) and 2005(Urban Camo with a reverse headstock) EMG pickups with SPC contol Alder body, ebony fingerboard with binding on neck and headstock.

Fantastic features especially the cool graphics on the Camo!

Sound : 10
I was amazed with the sound, I am throwing this thru a GT-8 to an original 5150 1/2 stack, I am gettting the sickest sounds with out the buzz.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As explained above the Camo finish is incredible the 2004 is black but still sharp. ESP has got it down for guitar fab. I pick them up before my other axes

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have giged with these about 4x and have had no problems. One of my buddies knocked the camo down and there was no damage, it even stayed dead on in tune!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never needed to call em, can't say.

Mine is the LTD JH-600... pretty similar to the ESP version. It was made in 2005 in Korea. It has 24 XJ frets. It has a solid-top with a gloss black finish (flawless). 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way toggle; 2 humbuckers-- EMG 81 (Bridge); EMG 85 (Neck); the pickups are active, of course. The body is maple and the neck is maple. The finish is gloss black and is completely flawless. The body style is a Srtat. It has an Original Floyd Rose tremolo. The tuners are non-locking ESP/LTD tuners. They are pretty solid and smooth. The neck profile is Extra Thin U, I think. It's 25.5" long and the fretboard is made of ebony. The ebony fretboard is so smooth and easy to play. As far as accessories go-- trem arm and a couple of allen wrenches. I forgot to mention the Eagle inlays. \m/ \m/

Sound : 10
I play thrash metal and some clean stuff here and there. This guitar is perfect for thrash metal-- hey... it's designed after a thrash metal king!! I use a Peavey Transtube 112 EFX (65 watts). I only use chorus and reverb on the clean channel and on some leads. The guitar is pretty quiet thanks to the EMGs. The sound, in my opinion, is nice and full. It's really crunchy-- which I like. I use a lot of midrange. Well, this guitar can make many sounds thanks to the Floyd Rose. I like everything about this guitar. Nothing disappoints me.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
My guitar was set-up at the store because I wanted some minor changes. As far as the set-up goes-- perfect!! I adjusted the pickups to my preference. The bridge was routed very nice and smooth. No flaws. I've seen a few tiny dings here and there... but they're on the back of the guitar. Nothing serious, though. Those little dings don't affect my rating of a 10.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar will probably last longer than the player. It's pretty heavy because of the maple body. It's rock solid. The hardware looks reliable. The finish looks like it will last long. The straps buttons are nice and they are oversized. Although, I switched to the Dunlop Straplok system, which are very nice. I think I can depend on this guitar and I would probably feel safe playing without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealt with the company. I've only had the guitar for 2 days now. I'm not sure how long the warranty is. Probably one year.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for a little over 3 years now and I can tell that this guitar is top quality. I'm completely satisfied with this guitar and I'm glad I waited for it. If this guitar was stolen (hopefully never), I would buy another one. I love everything about this guitar. My favorite features would be the pickups, the fretboard, and the trem. The Eagles look sweet, also. I compare guitars but this one stands out. It's high quality for a reasonable price. I think this guitar has all it needs. If you order from ESP-- BE PATIENT. I ordered this guitar in the middle of April and got it in the middle of July. Patience is a virtue. ;)

If anyone has questions about the LTD version (the one I have), feel free to email me. You can also talk to me on AIM-- CUBErt06.

Not a clue when it was made (does it matter). Its USA made and has 24 frets. Controls consist of a single volume, tone and an EMG SPC control to govern the EMG81Ss loaded in both the neck and bridge positions. Slayer logo on the 12th fret and a really cool looking black finish. Kahler tremolo and ESP hardcase included in, even came with 10 packs of free strings....

Basically, your typical rock axe... and then some.

Anything else, see ESPs website on www. espguitars.com ot www.espguitars.co.uk, depending on where u r!

Sound : 10
HOOOO......
Im using a full stack marshall JCM 2000 100w and a boss metalzone. I intend to get a mesa triaxis for creating some skull crushing stuff. Its sounds excellent and the SPC conrol really has to be tried out, you cant just read about it! The EMGs sound a little sterile clean, but thats really the signature creepy Slayer clean tone, to be honest. 100% SLAYER from top to bottom.

I like the SPC control around 3/4 on and the tone rolled back a little. But, play with it and see what you like.

I love the sound. Lets think about it, your buying this guitar to get the Slayer tones you want... your not buying this cuz u can get a really nice fingerpicking tone on it, are u?

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Well. seeing as this is a) handmade b)costs an arm and several legs c)is Jeff Hannemanns signature model, its goinng to be absolutely perfect. The action was so perfect. I punished the whammy onstage for at least 1 hr 30 and it still was perfectly in tune. Everything was present, correct, and built to last. The finish looks like it will stay strong through world war 4 and the wood just feels like your holding something special.

Wooooo....

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar has been gigging for around 6 months and never let me down. It is my main e-tuned guitar and will be until i stop playing, which looks like it will be when someone chops my arms off. The Kahler is rock solid, the strap buttons hug the strap like a bear (although i always fit strap locks - take no chances) and is totally dependable.

Buy one now, u munter!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Er, yes, i beleive as with all usa based guitar companies, the phone call would go something like:
Me: Hi, i would like some help on my kahler trem on my guitar? It keeps going out of tune...
Them: Where are you?
Me: UK, England
Them, Oh, right. Ill just get someone whos never touch a guitar before to talk to you...
Them 2:So, what is a guitar then?
Me: IS there someone else who can help?
Them 2: Someone else? No, there hasnt been "someone else" for a long long time....

YOU GET THE IDEA! In this ere UK, we have to rely on shit head shop assistants who dont give 2 shits or a fuck about u and just want to play with ur credit card. Nuff said....

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for around about 5 years and I am seriously pleased witht this axe. I had cheapo sub-#500 guitars for ages and though they were the best. I got this guy, and have never picked up anything worthless again.... No point.

If it were stolen, there wouldnt be much i could do, as i definately would never be able to afford to replace it...

I was saving to get a bc rich custom shop, but decided that waiting another year and a half to save up, and since this was such a good deal, was too long and nasty, so i went with this guy.. WOOHOO
