Im not really sure what year it is and where it was made. Im not at home right now so I cant look at my certificate. I bought it in 99. I got it from Century Music in San Antonio, TX. This is the best guitar I've bought so far. 24 frets, rosewood fretboard, moon and star inlays, 2 EMG-81 Humbucking pickups, Floyd Rose II tremelo, locking nut, individual volume controls, and an awsome quija board graphic.

It suits my style fine. I like to play classic hard rock and heavy metal. I know almost every single song metallica plays. I have tab books for all the albums and I've bought all the cd's like 3 times each. I always keep losing them. I like to play blues too, but I use my other guitar for that, so this doesnt really apply. This guitar was not made with blues in mind as you can see.

The action is great, nice and low with almost zero buzzing. If a string or fret starts to buzz, I just take it to the shop and have the guy polish down the frets and she sounds good as new. Pickups are setup nice, bridge and neck. What more do you need for metal? The neck feels good and plays good. No complaints here.

I play live everyday at home. (<-- joke) Im sure it would If was ever to be in a band and play. I dont see why not. The hardware is good and the strap knobs are nice and sturdy. I would probably have a backup if I was in a gig, because you never know what might happen.

Ive been playing for about 5 years now. I have a ESP KH-4 obviusly, I have a Ritchie Sambora signature series fender strat. I bought it because it was on sale and it had a locking tremelo. I use it for mostly playing blues and clean tones. It sounds good, I like it. I have a Peavy amp, I use a Zoom 505, but I pretty much stopped using that one, since my amp has a great gain and reverb. Thats all I need. I also use a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Original Wah. That ones pretty good. Then I have a classical acoustic. Brand called Spanola or something like that. Its something I found at the flea market and I fixed up so its playable. Thats about it. I think....

It's a 99 I believe, solid black finish ,Mother of Pearl pickgaurd totally awsome. Two EMG 81 humbuckers KILLER METAL I think the pickups are like -11 impedence of something. Two main volumes and a tone knob super light not too light like one of those Parker Peaces of shit, nice big strap knobs,"Which goes along way with me". Really nice case, hardware,2 wammy bars, certificate of authenticity with Kirks fake signature!

Total Metal sound I play mainly metal. Love Metallica. this guitar is a metal god you can rape the wammy and through out of your window and the damn thing is still in tune. the sound could be just alittle better you cant chime it as easy with the 81's as you could with like a Dimarzio tone zone or something. But still great sound even clean very full.rich sound, nice with a chorus and some delay, maybe alittle clean tube effects. put the toggle in the middl;e and you can get kirks nothing else matters sound.

This guitar is totally custom. The neck through body is impecable. Beautiful finish. The action could be alittle lower withought frets buzzing. I like my action very low. all the knobs are nice and tight very well made the pickups were set up just right from the factory. The neck is very fast really thin nice gloss on the back.

This guitar is like a tank solid as a rock. I would never play any gig withought a backup no matter how great this thing is. Knobs nice and tight Floyd is f*ckin killer, this guitar is dimed the strap knobs are so nice you could probably hang Rosie O'Donnell from them and the would still hold up. I will have this guitar forever!!

Mine is a 1998 Model, I think it was made in Japan but if you know anything about ESP, their Japanese guitars are great! The construction on this thing is superior to any guitar I've ever seen, quartersawn neck-thru, alder sides, when you see one in person and pick it up you'll know what I'm talking about. The two volumes and one tone controls are the perfect combination, with two EMG-81's you need that kind of flexibility. I'm playing through a Dual Rectifier and the gain that thing puts out is amazing you can use the neck volume to reduce gain for a louder clean sound(especially with a rectifier). Anyone who has played on an Original Floyd Rose knows they are the the best quality double locking trem out there, if your into the whammy shit this rules. Also, the ESP case is beautiful, I care as much about not trashing the case as I do the guitar.

I love Heavy Metal, and I'm sure anyone who is thinking about getting this guitar is to. This guitar plays so smooth and feels so good it leaves you no choice but to shred. I'm using it with a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and I couldn't ask for a better sound, EMG's give you the utmost gain and are super quiet. The combination of Alder wood sides and Quartersawn Maple neck-thru is ultimate for sustain and a full bright sound, this guitar will meet any metal players dream standards.

The action was set perfect when I got it, not too low but not too high. The pickups were adjusted how EMG tells you, as close as possible to the strings without touching them when you apply pressure at the 24th fret. The finish was beautiful , with the Mother of Pearl Pickguard and deep black gloss finish. It also has a neat looking v-shaped area where the clear finish from the back of the neck meets the body at the heel. This thing is rock solid! When you tap on the pickguard it feels like solid wood, there is nothing remotely cheesy about one part of this guitar.

This guitar will withstand anything the roughest player could put it through. All the hardware is the best on the market, and like I said this thing is built rock solid, it is very dependable.

Believe me, you'll never have to deal with ESP on this model. I'll bet if you called them with a major problem on this guitar someone would faint in their factory.

I've been playing for 5 years now and this was the second of the two best decisions in buying I've ever made, the first was the Mesa. You will never hear or feel better distortion than that amp can put out. The combination of the KH-4 and a dual rectifier forces you to play for hours on end, it just inspires creativity. If this guitar were stolen I would definitely want to buy it again even though it's pretty expensive but I couldn't settle for anything else this guitar is top-of-the-line material, nothing compares.

This guitar is a metal demon !!! Made to thrash with a set of EMG 81's. When using the neck position pickup I get a nice undistorted punchy and clear clean sound.Awesome sustain...cutting mids.Complete control over the tones with the way the active system is set up.1 overall tone knob and a volume for each pickup as well as a pickup selector. These pickup are quiet to!! No unwanted noise when the strings are muted for a tight break..complete control over feedback(there when I want it..not when I dont).I'm using a Marhall 1960A cab,Randall 100w head,Rocktron mAxe preamp,ART SGX 2000 processor and a Morely Bad Horsie WAH.Never had any trouble getting a great sound...but this guitar has got balls. Finally have my dream guitar and the sound to match it.Its a full on Meat Grinder!!!!!

This guitar came perfect.Super low action and highly polished fretts for efforless playing and bending. It was still in perfect tune when I received it via UPS.Flawless finish, event the woodgrains on the neck were flawless, strait as an arrow all the way down.Easy access to all 24 fretts with the neck-thu.A thin(but not too thin)neck.I couldnt ask for a guitar that plays any better.!!

This guitar seems to be consructed of Top Notch materials. It has a thick finish and overall has a beefy , rugged feel to it.This thing was built to last and to thrashed hard. And ESP has great reputation for building high quality guitars that stand the test of time.I've got about 35 hours of whaling on the string that came on it so it seems to be dependable in that area(and Im hell on strings)! As for the rest..only time will tell. And I would never gig withuot a backup no matter how reliable the guitar. You just never know what kind of weird shit might happen.

Theres not much I can say about this guitar exept that for my style..it's perfect in every sense.Ive been playing for 16 years and have a real good idea of what I want in a guitar. This guitar had every feature that I wanted, sounds killer and plays even better. If anyone ever stole it I would take great pleasure in watching them die slow as I broke their kneecaps with a pair on pliers, then ripped off their fingernails one by one....etc....
