Made in Korea. 24 frets. Volume and Afterburner gain boost knobs (up to 20dB boost, active) and 5 way selector. H/H EMG HZ pickups. Unsure of wood type. Black. A highly sculpted body, more characteristic of BC rich than of ESP. Floyd Rose, double locking. Jumbo frets. Accessories? ya that afterburner that nearly caused shrapnel from my slaughtered amp to become permanently acquainted with my skull.

It suits my style just fine, METAL. I use it with a CRATE GFX 212 and a Digitech RP200 (the amp destroyed before I got the pedal was a 100 watt marshall 212), very quiet with the pedal, even without the pedal its almost silent unless im playing it at any setting. definately a powerful sound, rich and full. The guitar sounds very good due to the pickups, no loss of a signal when bending strings. Put the afterburner all the way up and it distorts ridiculously- adds a spunginess.
Action, Fit, & Finish

my only problem was that they didnt give a level tightening of the floyd rose for the particular string set that was on the guitar when I bought it (9-42) it was more well adjusted for 11 gauge. Otherwise it was done just fine. The playing action is great, it feels really good to play this guitar. pickups were well adjusted. Besides the aforementioned flaw It came just fine.

Definately will withstand live playing, I beat up my guitars pretty bad, I have 3 other guitars, this is the first guitar I haven't had to repair and custom wire the first couple of weeks I had it. The hardware will definately last, magnetite (the material that the pickups are fashioned from) doesn't oxidize like gold, copper, or chrome. The wires (when I opened the back to adjust the tremolo) were well soddered. Finish is good, solid strap buttons, very dependable, this is the first guitar I would even CONSIDER not having a backup for.

I've been playing for 3 years (surpassing 1 teacher and meeting another). Amps: Crate GFX 212- 120 watts (used to have a 100 watt marshall AVT 2x12 before turning on the afterburner), a Johnson 30 watt Stage 50. guitars: an Epiphone Explorer, Ibanez RG 120, and a Fender Strat malmsteen signature series. RP200 by digitech. question I wish I asked? "can I get two of these?". if stolen I would definately buy it again. I love the afterburner and I love the pickups. I compared it with a BC Rich Beast, a Dime stealth, and a warlock, this guitar had the heaviest most saturated sound even without the afterburner turned on. I wish it had volume controls for the individual pickups, but thats no big deal.

This thing sounds great!!! I play most types of metal and some other stuff. It works great with all types of music, but with metal it KICKS ASS!!!! It's not very noisy and the pickups sound really good, even though upgrading would be even better.

It was set up perfectly, I did change the strings since I don't use 9's and got it set-up again anyway though. Everything is working perfectly.

I love this guitar, if you play metal you really need to check this one out. It is very affordable and sounds great. Even though looks are not everything, i must say, they have it in some really cool colors. Overall, a GREAT guitar, if it was stolen I would go after the guy and beat him to death with the guitar.

i dont know where it was made, but it was inspected in the usa 4 times, (AMS rules thanks guys!) 24 fret, it had emg hz's in it. then i went to daddys junky music, and bought a sweet sweet EMG 81 active. it took me 3 hours to install...but holy hell was it worth it. the hz's are great pu's but ...just get an 81. it has a floyd rose, and i want to see if i can install a kahler pro tremelo becuz then...heh heh....the case came with it for free. sweet guitar for my metal head tendancys.

METAL METAL METAL, with an 81 its incredible...it is literally undescribable.
im using my crate gx1200 fullstack, with the amps distortion. its so nice i mean i would have shot myself for saying i use solid state distortion..but hey it rips my jcm 800 apart...dont ask me why. LOUD ass guitar on both channels, clean and distortion.i love this guitar.

ams set it up for me for no charge, the action was so low with no buzz although it has a buzz now i can work my way around it. everything was and still is perfect. except for the dents i put in it from smashing it around when im mad....

The ltd series is done in Korea. It has 24 extra jumbo frets. It has a toggle switch and a volume knob. It has two active emg hz humbuckers (I heard bad reviews but I enjoy them). I believe it is basswood with a rosewood fretboard. Mine has a midnight purple paint job (which looks great with the right light but at around sunset comes off as a muddy brown which i dont like, but its still stylish) The body is a gothican fantasy. Hell you can open bottles on the thing, just watch the sharp corners. (oh yeah the actual body makes playing really comfortable) The locking floyd rose really makes this a great piece of equipment. One fine piece of work.

I play a lot of everything (well almost everything) like old rock to some metal. This thing holds its own from clean tone zeppelin to smooth steve vai, even working up to metallica. Really great sound.

The action i was told was a little high but im used to that so i would say its just perfect. I messed around with the pickups a little but it really wasnt neccesary. I have yet to find a flaw.

i havent put this thing up to much of a durability test, since i use a locking strap i dont drop it (btw i really recomend locking straps). the finish seems to be lasting, and i have yet to see a chip. It holds up pretty good but then i treat it like my first born.

Wow is this thing spectacular. Only issues ive ever had with it (and actually thats this week im having these issues) is that i changed strings, and i opened it up to adjust the springs, and i havent been in tune since. (plus the mother f___ing e string broke before i even put it on!!!) other then that the volume knob loosened on me after some abuse, it took less then three minutes to fix. Really good guitar, especially for being an ltd.

This guitar is a very solid guitar. It's a 2000 model, and i'm pretty sure it was made in Taiwan (i don't have the guitar with me, just guessing right now). It is equiped with 24 Extra Jumbo frets. It has one volume knob and a 3-way selector switch. It has 2 EMG Hz humbuckers (very good tone). The body is made of Bassword (light wood), the neck is made of maple with a rosewood finger board. I would consider this guitars style to be a gothic/strat, it' has the looks of a "Skull basher" yet it is in the style of a Fat strat. The tremolo is a Floyd Rose Licensed. It has a locking nut so it helps keep you in tune while you play your hardest. No case included.

Um...i play mostly MetallicA. This guitar is great for it, both the rhythm and the lead. This is a definate hard rocker, i like to play clean on it...it has a real deep tone with a middy bite. The tremolo help me get some pretty fucked up effects...i can almost push the bar to the body of the guitar, through the strings! Most of the shit that i use for this guitar is tube distortion. Nothing is better. I have an Ibanez Chorus/flange too that i use when i do like a softer solo. A flaw in the tone is that at high volumes it tends to pick up a lot of shit, if i take my palm of the bridge and not play i get a lot of shit. The pickups are fucking great though. I left my amp on with the guitar still plugged in...and i heard a low volume radio playing...i didn't know what the fuck it was...here it was the pickups picking up some fucking radio waves...crazy shit.

AHHHH, shit. I got the guitar in great condition. I broke the high E string the first day (forgot about the locking nut). The paint looks great. The action on the guitar is PERFECT...i can blaze up and down the fret board...they should just call it a fucking fast action neck, it's great.

Ohh shit. I did have like 2 minor problems with the guitar. The first was the tremolo got all fucked up...the springs were too tight...i took it to the repair man and when i got it back the springs were fucking fucked up...i could hear them through the pickups and it went into the amp. The other problem was the the 3-way selector switch. I shorted out all the fucking time, especially on the neck pickup position. Had to get that shit fixed too. The top strap button is in a weird position too...feels like the guitar is gonna fall off. So far i have depended on this guitar...i don't use a back up really. I'm good as long as i don't break a string...(Which never really happens when i play, only while tuning)

SUCKED ASS!, i got it from Musicians Friend...i didn't get shit from them...they lost the money for this guitar so really i got it for free, but neither of us got the money. Stupid shits, i would be careful if you're ordering from them...watch your money..(DAMN UPS)

This guitar is probably my most favorite guitar of all...the body is great...it's light, great tone...great fast action neck. It's a piece of art. I wouldn't trade it for anything...except maybe a Gibson Les Paul Custom - that's a good deal! UM...i wish the guitar came with a case...i bang this fucker around around every turn FUCKING GIG bags! This guitar is in showroom condition right now. If you get one i suggest that you take care of it...when you get used to it..you'll fucking fly on it. I have a Fender Telecaster and a Fender Strat...this thing blows them the fuck away. It ScReAmS metal...and trust me play at Full volume all the time and fucking just go wild...it's a guitar for the craziest of all people. Don't worry about the paint..it's taken many blows and there isn't one scratch, dent, or chip on it. I would suggest buying this for your like 2nd guitar...or you're intermedite stage...it has a good balence of the elements of the guitar world...
Have fun and "METAL UP YOUR ASS!"

This LTD was one of the new models for the year 2000. It has been only out for afew months and I was the first person I know to get a chance to pick up (and buy) one. This has a nice 24 frets, some of the higher frets are pretty small so using them might take some time to get used too. The paint job is plain black and it leaves tons of finger prints and smudges some you gotta rub it clean everytime your done using it if you want to leave it shiny. There is only one knob, the volume control, there are no useless tone or other knobs to get in the way of playing. There is a very cool 3 way selector, its not the standard selector design, it is much better. It had came with an Emg Hz in the neck and one in the bridge, this pickups are nice but I probuly will replace them for a heavier tone. The body I believe is Bass wood witch is nice and light however I hear it dents easily. The fretboard seems to be ebony, the sales man said it was rosewood but I dont think it is. The style of this guitar is very unique, ESP made basses that looked like this but then they started making guitars. I love the shape with its sharp "broken glass" apperance. The bridge is a floyd rose license, this bridge is great just to play with. The headstock looks amazing and it has a locking nut for the floyd. I bought this guitar alone, no case, strap or anything else. All additional accessories I had to buy seperatly.
Sound
:

Most of the sound is due to the EMG Hz passive pickups. These are great pickups however I am more into really heavy types of music so I am planning on replacing them down the line with some EMG actives, perhaps an 89 and 85. I use a Crate gfx 212 with built in effects, this supplies a nice tone for my style of music. (Mettalica, Staind, Rage, Slipknot, Korn) I can even knock out some jazzy sounds with these pickups.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Once I bought it there where no problems that I noticed. The strings where slightly out of tune but thats only due to the fact that they where new. The action played very well. I like the simple two humbuckers, I never needed any pickup in the middle postition. This was nicly made, I found only a little imperfections on the neck such as poorly filled 12th fret inlay but that was almost impossable to notice. LTDs are made very well as any one that played one can see.
Reliability/Durability

I only used this for a short time, I got a feeling due to the sharp courners and the fact that it is made of bass wood, it will be getting its fair share of dents. After playing live the guitar gets very smudged but thats no real problem. The hardware seems durable enough to last me awhile. I am pretty sure the finish on the floyd will ware down in time due to constant use but that can be repainted easily. I replaced the strap buttons right away becuase I wouldn't risk smashing my new guitar on stage. I replaced them with strap locks. Im sure this is a reliable guitar however I wouldn't go any where with out a back up just in case.

If it was stolen or lost I would try hard to get it again. I really love this guitar and I am very glad that I had bought it. If you want a great looking guitar that doesnt sacrifice comfort get test this one out.
