This is a 1999 Esp 7 string, made in Korea and "assembled" in the usa. It has 24 frets, one volume and one tone control with a three-way switch. It has two Duncan humbuckers, strat/PRS type body style, a maple neck, solid 1 piece ash body, rosewood fretboard, string-thru-body bridge, gotoh tuners (i think), and mine came in a transparent black cherry finish. The neck's width/thickness can be compared to an ibanez, but it's just a little bit thicker, but it still feels pretty good. I ordered mine with a hard shell case, which came with a small cord. That's all the extra's the company gives you i think, but since i ordered it from drum city guitar land, they gave me some picks, a strap, an extra set of strings, and some catalogs.

Sound : 8
This guitar has a solid ash body body, which gives it a really good crisp, tight sound. The crispness is good for a seven string because the lowest string tends to get lost on other guitars when played in full chords. The strings retain a lot of definition, which i like. The string-thru body construction gives this guitar AWESOME sustain, which i've really been impressed with. I play heavy metal and rock, which this guitar works well for. I usually run it thru like this: guitar - rp6 - pedals - amp (peavy bandit 112). It works well and doesn't loose it's definition loads of distortion, which is important for heavy metal. I think straying too far from the rock/metal sund with this guitar would not be using it to it's full extent, as it tends to work best in those categories. It is bright w/ the ash body, but the duncan humbuckers give it more fullness, kind of a les-paul meets fender deal. The only thing I really don't like is that i can't seem to get the treble just right. I liker ther to be about 50% more treble than bass in my sound, but i'm having trouble getting to that point with this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I could not find any flaws in this guitar when i got it, even though it was shipped. the electronics didn't having any problems either. The bridge humbucker was a little to high towards the higher strings, so i lowered it. the action was WAY WAY too low, i mean you could barely hear the notes thru the fret buzz, so i had to pull it up quite a bit. I give it and 8 becuase i consider the adjustments i made minor and something that you should do when you first get any guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 8
The hardware and finsh seems pretty sturdy, and the neck feels rock solid to me. Strap butons are screwed into the horns just right. I haven't played this guitar live, but if i did i would probably play it without a back-up because i don't have enough money to buy another guitar "just in case". It seems to be built quite solidly.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I didn't rate this category because I haven't dealt with the company, and i haven't tried to get it repaired either. it has a life-time warranty.

This one of my favorite guitars out of the ones i own. i've liked it so much i'm probably going to buy two (the joys of using alternate tunings) six string h-200s, which are basically this guitar in six string form. I was atracted tothis guitar because it had a real beauty you usually don't find in guitars in this price range. I id a lot of resaerch before buyinga 7 string because they are so expensive. It pretty much came down to this guitar or a schecter c-7. as it turns out, schecter c-7s are made with four peices of ash glued to together, where as this guitar is made of 1 solid piece of ash, so that prety much settled it. If this guitar were stolen i would definatley buy another one.

The LTD H-207 is a new 7-string guitar put out by ESP. It has volume and tone knobs anda three way pickup selector. The pickups are Duncan Design humbuckers(2) and they sound very good. It's a string thru body with a Tune-o-Matic bridge which gives the guitr great sustaine. The body is made of ash and comes in 3 see thru colors (black, black cherry, and aqua) all of which look very good. The body style is a contoured strat style that fits my body very comfortably. It has a rosewood fingerboard with 24 x-jumbo fets. The neck is made of maple and is bolted to the body. The whole guitar has binding(body, neck and headstock). When you order a case you get a few pics and a cord(don't use the cord though it's kinda crappy)

The guitar is great for heavy music and rock. I use a Line6 Flextone HD and a 4/12 cab and can get really mean tones with it but it also sounds great clean. Like I said earlier the string thru gives it great sustaine. It's not very noisy unless you are around alot of 60 cycle hum but what guitar isn't.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
ESP did a great job of setting it up, the action was just right for me(not too high or low). For a guitar that I only paid $560 w/case for the construction was excellent. I couldn't find any flaws on my guitar but your experience may be different.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I haven't been able to play it live yet so I can't give an honest answer. I've owned the guitar for a few months now and with practicing ever day i have seen no problem with the finish or hardware. Everything on it seems to be built very solidly. I don't think I would use it without a backup on stage but only because I play hard and might break a string.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with the co. so I don't know about customr support. I forgot how long the warranty is but if you're interested go to ESPGUITARS .com(I do NOT work for ESP I just know the address) and you can look at the guitar, get specs, and find out about the warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
If it were stolen I would definitely buy another as a matter of fat I'm going to buy another as my backup. I looked at other 7-strings but for price and quality I couldn't beat it. I love this guitar and i think you will too. The extra string takes a while to get used to but I used to play 6-string bass so it wasn't too hard for me. Give it a chance it opens up alot of possibilites you don't have with a 6-string.
