Bought this guitar new in June of 1998. Dual Duncan Designed humbuckers, with volume and tone control and 3-way pickup switch. Tune-o-matic bridge. The finish is see through honey sunburst, and is excellent. Gotoh tuners, extra jumbo frets, ash body with rosewood fretboard.

The sound is incredible, at any price. I use a Digitech RP-7 and Marshall combo amp, play mostly rock/metal, and this set-up works very well for me. I haven't tried EMG's, but the Duncan Designed pickups seem to work very well. Great, full clean sound, and excellent tonal capbilities. Sounds great overdriven/distorted.

The factory set-up was near perfect. The action was great, pickups were great, and the finish and other hardware were flawless. All controls were secure and the pickup selector was silent.

I've only had it a short time, but this guitar seems to be able to take the rigors of playing out. Great finish, durable strap buttons, etc. No backup for me.

Haven't had to deal with ESP yet for service, but they were great in getting my guitar to me.

I've been playing guitar for about 7 years, and this is the greatest guitar I've owned. Playability is high, it sounds fantastic, etc. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, and would replace it if stolen.
