Airline 2P DLX made in Korea; excellent, lightweight chambered mahogany body. Three way selector for the very hot pickups; tone and volume controls are above which is a little odd, but also makes it easier to make changes since they're closer.
I have the white one and it has a great finish. People have been talking smack about the tuning pegs, but I think they're classy and do their job well.
Mine doesn't have the bigsby, but if it did it would get a 10 in features.

I play through a vintage Stromberg Carlson PA (handwired for guitar) through the epiphone valve junior cab (eminence lady luck speaker).
I play a wide variety of music and it does everything very well because the standard pickups have a lot of voicing and get a wide range of sounds. The sound is very rich and warm; it can get bright but you have to do some EQ work to get that telecaster bell-glassy sound.

Factory setup was excellent! The factory action was low (which I appreciate) but some might want to raise it.
No flaws from the factory.

This is my main guitar and is very solid. My friend has dropped this before on concrete and there is only a small dent on one of the corners in the body.
I changed the strap buttons shortly afterword to straplocks, no worries, since.

Customer is absolutely excellent! The guitar came in on time and Mike (the owner of the company) responded to my emails incredibly fast and was extremely helpful and cordial.

It's an excellent guitar for someone getting serious into guitar playing! I would recommend this guitar over Gibson or Fender guitars in the same price range (700-800).

I purchased an Airline 2P DLX, in the Sahara Blue finish. I love the paint. It has a metallic finish that shines. There are 20 frets, and a 3-way selector switch on the 2 pickups. Each pickup has volume and tone controls, along with an overall volume control knob. It features a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a custom tailpiece. I like the look of the tailpiece- very solid. The tuners work well and keep the guitar in tune nicely. The fretboard is rosewood, with block marker inlays. Great look. The neck also features binding. All was crafted very well. I am very pleased with the craftmanship on this guitar. I fell in love with this guitar when I saw it on Eastwood Guitars' website, but wasn't sure what to expect as far as quality. This guitar has met my expectations for quality. Very well built. I own 8 other guitars (Fender U.S.A/Epiphone/Ibanez), and I this ranks right up there with these guitars.

I run it through a Fender Hot Rod Amp, and get the sound I like. I have several dual humbucker guitars, and this can run with those guitars. I don't use any effects so I can't comment on this. I prefer to play this guitar with low overdrive. That's typically my style, though.

I believe it comes with a three year warranty. However, I did have problems submitting the registration information to Eastwood. The email address I sent the required paperwork to didn't seem to accept my registration. All other communication with Eastwood has been very responsive. Shipment notification was sent, and the guitar arrived sooner than expected. Customer feedback is encourage by Eastwood, which shows they are constantly looking for ways to improve their products.

I wish the Airline 3P DLX came in the Sahara Blue finish. I was torn when trying to decide with one to purchase.

I really didn't need another guitar but I fell in love with the look of the white DLX 3P, probably cos I'm a big Calexico fan. So I decided to hunt one down, which isn't easy in Europe. waited about a month for it and it was well worth the wait and the money. this guitar is really wonderful, sounds great and the playablitly is perfect. the only thing: as other people have said the volume and tone knobs are rather annoying. have to be careful not to twist them when playing.
Sound
:

sounds good to me! warm, deep sound on the neck and middle pickup, crunchy on the 3rd pickup. I also would love to try the eastwood vintage singlecoils to hear the difference. But in general, I prefer the humbucker sound to singlecoils. I just don't really understand why they sell those vintage pickups that are supposed to sound like the old valco as an upgrade package. why not just put them on there to begin with, if it's a replica they were trying to make.

I'm glad I bought this guitar, even thow I already had 2 electrics. This one is my favourite right now. I had the chance to meet Joey Burns from Calexico after a concert and talk to him about guitars. He has a Valco Airline from 1962 but also an Eastwood (he said they're a very nice company), which they sent him for free. He said it does not sound like the old Valco because of different pickups but it's a very good guitar. I agree. As far as playability, it's probably much better than the old fiberglass Valco. I just read a review here on harmony central about one of those. Not too good... Makes me even happier to own an Eastwood instead :-)

I got the 2P DLX and replaced the humbuckers with the "vinatage voiced single coil" pickups offered in the accessory page of eastwood's website. I was worried about the short scale but it feels great.

The guitar sounds freakin awesome!! I am a huge Jack White fan and wanted a close replica of his guitar. With the vintage voiced single coils eastwood offers, the Jack White vibe is definitely there. Eastwood claims to have opened up the old Airline pickups to replicate the pickups. And it sounds like they did a great job! Even if you don't care for Jack White's music/tone this guitar is wonderful for blues, rock, country, you name it. Oh and it's a great guitar for slide. Id just finished playing my Gretsch Power Jet and then picked this up and the difference was clear. The Airline sounded and felt better with the slide.

I got the red 2P DLX from myrareguitars - Made in Korea. (That used to be where I would stop reading). It came with a nice hard case.
Chambered mahogony body with with prostitute-lipstick-red gloss finish. This guitar is a total slut (and I like it).
Three-way selector for two hot humbuckers. These things are hot.
The neck is great - thin but not tapered. Has great mother of pearl inlay on a rosewood board. The white binding on the neck is a nice touch - something you'd expect on an expensive guitar.
The tuning pegs are cheap greenish plastic but the actual tuning machines seem pretty high grade. Very smooth and precise. I've read where some people have changed the tuning pegs - why? It's a cheap guitar, SOMEthing on this thing should look cheap.
The one thing about this guitar that anyone should think about is the four volume and tone knobs on the top side of the front. They're kind of driving me crazy, especially on the bridge tone knob. My arm keeps rotating it all the way one direction.
The knobs give the guitar a cool retro look that was part of why I wanted it, but I'm going to have to solve the functional problem. You can pull the knobs off easily and the posts function but then you lose the look.
One of the best things about this guitar is how light it is. And it's the thinnest guitar I've ever owned too. Very easy to play.
Sound

This guitar's primary function was meant to be my electric slide guitar. Something about a cheap import humbucker guitar that goes great with slide - and this does it. Thick FAT slide tone just like I was looking for.
My main amp is a vintage 66 Super Reverb but I also play a Bassman reissue and a Marshall DSL 401. This guitar plays well through all of them, but it makes you smile through the crunchier two amps.
The downside to this guitar's sound is that the pickups are so hot, it turns to mush on the neck pickup when playing rythym. I've learned to use the neck pickup as basically a stomp box for leads and the bridge for both rythym and lead. That might be a big drawback to someone looking to make this their main guitar. But for what I wanted, I wouldn't change anything there.
Some people have said the neck is "chunky." I'm not sure what they are comparing it to but it's a small neck, it just isn't tapered so it might feel a little wide at the lower couple of frets.
My Fender Custom Shop 56 Strat's neck is way bigger than this and my Am Standard's is wider.
The neck is thin, but not tapered.
This guitar gives a lot of feedback through all of my amps (even my cigarette box amp).

Set up was ok from the factory. It was buzzing a little on the low E but easy to adjust.
This guitar is a low-action guitar AND a good slide guitar. Definitely exceeds expectations there.
No flaws.

I've been playing for 23 years. I play blues/rock. I have a Custom Shop 56 Strat and an 89 Am Std Strat. I also play a vintage 1930 National Style O and a couple of Taylors (810, 414).
I would definitely buy another one if it got lost or stolen. In fact, it replaces my 89 Strat as the one I take places where security is a concern. It's a bad*** cheap guitar!

I ordered this guitar in July from a dealer in California after trying it out at a couple shops. I found out about this model after a bit of research online. All the basic feature info is on the website so I'm not going to repeat it but I have the left-handed 3 pick-up model. Mine actually came with the case even though the website said it wouldn't. I also recently discovered the pocket inside (duh!) that had a cable, a few picks and the warranty info in it.
The body is "semi-hallow" although where that happens I'm not too sure, probably under the pick-ups. I also appreciate that it doesn't weigh 0348530459 pounds like other guitars (les pauls, whatevs I think they're heavy). My left-handed model DID NOT come with a tremolo but I don't plan on playing surf rock anyways so thats fine. I don't find the neck too big and I have fairly small hands, its definitely easier to grip compared to my acoustic dreadnought. Overall I think its great, but this is my only electric...

For being whats its known for, this guitar can actually play pretty clean if you want it to. However I like some of the more crunchier sounds that this guitar can give me and its GREAT for slide because of the sustain. The pick-ups are single coil so you might get a bit of a buzz until you tinker with the settings on your amp a bit (I have a Marshall). I play blues, country, and rockabilly and I think this guitar is great for all 3.

:

I didn't find any "flaws" but I'm not too experienced and don't know what problems to look for. However I have a lot of common sense and I can see that the hardware is fine and the action is great. I was pretty much able to take it out of the case the play it (they use decent strings too!)

I have no intentions on playing live anytime soon (scary) but I think it would definitely be great for that. I don't plan on getting another electric, this is good enough to be my one and only.

I get mixed results with Eastwoods customer service. Most of the time its great, but every now and then I got an em-ail in a "cwanky" tone. They're warranty is for 3 years but the info is very confusing because it says that you have 3 months to turn it in after purchase but if you don't make it by that time, it won't be void as long as you can prove that you bought it brand new from one of their dealers. Why bother having a time limit to turn it in the first place?

I've been playing for almost 2 years so I don't have much experience. However I would not spend 800 bucks on something I did not love. I put a lot of thought into it and I'm happy with my choice. I tried out les pauls, strats and a few others but this won my heart in the end.

amazing sustain and very nice controlled feedback that will keep going until you want it to stop (the body is hollow). has a vintage sound that is very unique. can get nice rockabilly twang, thick fuzz early floyd stoner rock sounds, nice mellow jazzy tones..truly remarkable range of sounds can be gotten from it. play everything from velvet underground style to roots reggae, drone-blues etc... sorta reminds me of a rickenbacker 340

excellent except: one of the tuners was broken out of the box. i swapped them out for vintage style white plastic button style tuners. i prefer the look. hate those green ones. the pick up switch was cheap, junky and loose feeling. changed that to a fender brand 5-way. now im happy. the paint job is excellent and has a smooth feel, feels and looks like auto paint, love the paint job!!!! pickups are excellent sounding and the frets were well done. needed some steel wool to smooth out a bit. the truss rod was totally loose out of the box. set it and now its perfect. the bridge is great...has rollers...and the bigsby is great quality and stays in tune perfectly. . with a little tweaking, the guitar competes with my other more expensive Rickenbacker, Fender Strat...etc.

i wasnt sure at first. it has to compete with my rickenacker, american fender strat, vintage hofner, vintage PRS, etc... 2 years later i still have it. i wont sell it. if stolen, i probably would get another rickenbacker instead but im glad i own it. it comes in handy when you want a unique, vintage sound...love it for twangy, jangly to psych-rock and fat-possum style blues sounds. its a great guitar and plays as well as anything else i own.. i wish the frets were slightly bigger gauge...they feel a little too low for my tastes but once your used to it and the action is set up properly, your find it very easy to play and hold

This is one amazing guitar. I am used to PRS customs, Strats, Les Pauls and as exotic as I'd gotten was my three Parkers. Now, this thing! It looks like something out of a rock and roll movie made in the 1950's that never reached the theatres, or something that battled the Martians against Godzilla...no, I am not putting this axe down (literally!!) It is uniquely strange and intrgiuing...and addictive and fun. I was first attracted to this guitar by three elements: the three pickup configuration; the inner tone chambers; and the Bigsby. I picked up the guitar two days ago at Rudy's Music in Manhattan. I was amazed how light and balanced it actually is because of all the onboard switches and hardware. It is wonderful to hold and play. Excellent detail was given to the neck and the frets. It is very easy to play.
All the electronics are accurate and responsive. It is not a limited edition artist PRS, however, for the money, it is well worth every penny and quality was always a prime concern in its design. Michael Robinson is the owner of Eastwood in Canada and he is on a mission to give the world great and inexpensive unique guitars. He certainly knows what he is doing.

It does what I wanted it to do. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT tones with amazing sustain.
I use it for recording and for noodling, (I would suggest a Line 6 Pocket Pro. They are a joy to use together). Like I said, I find it difficult to put the Airline 3P DXL down. It is a great sounding instrument with so many sound options. If you haven't been really impressed with a guitar in a long time-this is your baby.

The set up was dead-on, as were the pickups. The white painted finish was smooth and even and the frets look like they belong on a guitar more than four times the price of the DXL.

If you can't audition this guitar, go to Eastwood's site and watch the two videos there on the Airline P3 DXL. They both convinced me that this is one unique guitars that I needed...and, they were right! Also, Rudy (of Rudy's Music) in Manhattan is a warm and friendly and a no-nonsense kind of guy whom I've been getting stuff from for years. If he carries Eastwood (along side of his boutique guitars) I know that this guitar had to be worthwhile...and it is!!

I agree with the reviewer who said the sound is warm and fat as well as being twangy at the same time. And another reviewer who said the sound doesn't so much cut through as POWER through. it is a dark sounding guitar, I leave the treble full up on the guitar and on my amp.

Been playing since 1983. The amp I used at home is a 1965 Airline amp, 6 watts, single 6v6 power tube, 10 inch Jensen, reverb and trem. I also have a Traynor YCV-40, a 1968 Ampeg reverberocket, and a JC-120.
Other guitars are a Danelectro DC-59, a 1962 Goya Panther with minihumbuckers, a Dillion Les Paul copy, Gibson SG-I, Squier 51, and a PRS CE-22.
What I love most about this guitar is the sound. It is really pleasing to the ear. As mentioned before, it has fatness and warmth yet plenty of twang at the same time. A weird paradox.
I would have liked deeper cutaways to allow easier upper fret access.
