Eastwood Guitars LP Custom 6

This is a brand new LP custom copy made in China. It is balck with gold harware and trapezoid inlays. 2v/2t controls, with 3-way tone control and 2 stock humbuker p/u's. Passive p/u's. Made out of basswood with maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Tune-oMatic bridge and solid tuners, grover style. The neck is thin and comfortable to play all day. It came in a cartoon box and had an ugly scratch on the back of the guitar right above the t/v cavity.

I play mostly Tex/Mex, Cumbia, Merenge, Bachata, quebradita, and Mexican blues ala Tri style. I use a Peavey Classic VT series, Kustom 100 head with 212 fender cab, and an Ampeg Gemini VI which gives me the best tone. The peavey and Kustom are oK but do not compare to the ampeg tonewise. I use this guitar for distortion leads and it kicks! Also, I use it for rythim and the humbukers give me that fat tone I was lacking on my AD Strats

The factory set up is good, but far from excellent. The frats need to be sanded, as they are rough on my fingers. Also, the finish on the back of the guitar was scratched, not sure if it was factory, or shipping fault.

I use this guitar for practice and back up. I also use it during shows that call for distortion leads. It fits the bill quite well. I would not use this as my primary gear. It does not compare fidelity wise to my AD Fat Strat and Regular AD Strat. But, it performs extremely well during practice, and take lots of abuse.

I bought this from pine cone music store in ontario canada for $245 including shipping, and through ebay auction. There is really no customer support with this store up North

I been playing regularly for 3 years after a 15 year break. I bought this guitar based on H-C reviews and the fact that I wanted a LP Copy for the H/H sound, since I have Strats. I love the action, the fill, the solid fat tone from the quiet p/u's and most of all the price and value. I would buy another if damaged or stolen in a heartbeat....
