First off, I bought this guitar a year ago and never posted a review because although Michael gave me a sick deal and was EXTREMELY accomadating, I wanted to put the axe through the tests... I was told this particular baritone was special due to the fact that Mike's freind musician Matthew Sweet was in his store playing it and couldn't by it because I was already promised the peice. True or not it's like antiques, 'the better the story the more it's worth'. It came in gloss black, maple neck (finished), string thru, with tune-o-matic bridge. It has a nifty 3-p90 setup with a 5 way and a vol/tone knob route. No fancy locking tuners or electronics, just a beast. It came packed well in a cardboard box and looked good coming out of it.

I play rock and roll, what brand is up to everyone else to decide, to me it's rock and roll. This guitar sounds fantastic clean. And it has quite a wild range of tones to run through, but the fun stops there. Unfortunately, I am a dirtier player, and the pup's in this axe are just way too noisy for my TSL100 or even the dirty channel on my Fender. I will have to replace these if I ever decide to gig it out. The woods respond well and the guitar has nice natural vibration, sustain is fairly decent for a baritone, probably in part to the individual string ferulles. If clean is your thing, this guitar will dish it out and give you a very broad range of tones. If you like to get dirty like you do with your Duncan p-90's or Dimmarzio soapbars, I recommend getting this guitar anyway. Swap the bridge pup out for a stacked SD p-90 and go nuts. Loses 3 points for ground noise and terrier squeal.

Set up was fine. Intonation was right on. No commplaints here. Neat little scallop at the back of the headstock. I could seem some lines in the finish where the body was glued together. Tuners are pretty stable. Big ratio though.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This is a tough axe. You can feel it when you play it. It'll last awhile.

Customer Support : 10
This was the best part of the whole process. I asked this guy a bunch of stupid questions and he answered them all and gave me a ridiculous price. I will buy another guitar from him in the future, probably the mosrite baritone.

Overall Rating : 9
If you hear good things about these guitars, they are true. Read the other reviews before you buy one. I will never part with this guitar, If it were lost, I would hunt down the thief, beat him with a Squier and steal my guitar back.
