I owned this guitar for about a year. LOVED it, but the neck was a bit long and top heavy for me. It was a custom built guitar that the owner never picked up so Ed gave me a great deal on it. The Black Back pickups sounded amazing. I use Duncan JB's in my other guitars and it seemed really close in sound. Maybe a bit more mids with the Black/Backs. The Rockingbird plays incredible nice but like I said earlier, just a little top heavy. I'm gonna have Ed build me my own in the future that fits my specs etc. I recorded in the studio with this guitar and it never failed me. Always stayed in tune and was always consistant. Tons of sustain!

Perfect action. No buzzes anywhere. Beautiful finish and paint. Totally unique purple color!!! A work of art.

Played it a few times live. Was always nervous about bumping it being that it was such a nice guitar. I mainly used it for recording. This is one of the reasons I gave it back. I am gonna have Ed build me a smaller scale Rockingbird. The one I owed was built for someone else.

People can say whatever they wish. Ed was one of the first people I looked up when I moved to Las Vegas. He was extremely nice to me and showed me around his shop, has given me deal after deal, offered me money for guitars I didn't want any longer etc. etc. I don't understand the stuff I read sometimes.. I guess you either get along well with someone or ya don't. I've always had good experiences with Ed's staff and Ed himself.

Some of the best made guitars in the world! Hoping to get some custom work done in the future.
