A 58 JR. copy double cutaway made in Japan by ESP/ Edwards.Set neck, long tenon,1 piece Mahogany body, excellent piece of Rosewood board, perfectly finished frets, nut properly cut.Joins body at 22 fret.1 volume 1 tone.1 SD P90. Cherry nitro finish a little rough but it is nitro with no poly undercoat.A Junior is a very simple guitar and IMHO requires a 1 piece Mahogany body to achieve the sound.I would have to go to a Gibson VOS model at considerably higher cost to get the 1 piece Mahogany body.I take one point away for finish.

I play mostly blues and rock.I play through Rivera`s and Victoria tweeds. Don`t use pedals much, guitar cord amp.Quiet for a P90 guitar. This guitar is meant to rock and it delivers in spades. The 1 piece Mahogany body and the P90 pickup produce the classic rock tones beautifully. Big, thick honkin rock. Crank it up and the body just resonates it`s alive.Sounds way better than production Gibson`s, epi`s or anything else I have played. To match the sound quality I would have to go to Gibson VOS at considerably more money. It sounds awesome.

Out of the box from Japan perfect set up, no adjustments required. My 3rd Edwards,I buy them and sell my Gibson`s because they are simply better made.1 piece Mahogany body, perfect frets, great rosewood board, properly cut nut.I have replaced the stock pickup for a Woletone P90.Nitro finish is a bit rough. All in all very well built guitar.

Been playing for over 45 years. Too much gear to list.Edwards has done a superb job. this guitar is way better than the 3-4 piece Gibsons. The Junior sound requires a 1 piece body.Build quality is excellent. Sounds better than all the other juniors I played and has some serious mojo. I would change only the pickup. Simply a great guitar. At this price a steal.Highly recommend.Price includes shipping and duties.

The Edwards E-JR-85LT is a near-exact copy of a Gibson Les Paul Junior Double-Cutaway. Mine is a 2006 model, I think. These guitars are made in Japan and hard to get over here unless you know where to look.
Mahogany neck/body, 22 fret rosewood neck, beautiful lacquer TV yellow finish (lets the grain show through), faux-tortoiseshell pickguard (still looks cool to me anyway), 1 Seymour Duncan SP-90a single coil, 1 volume, 1 tone.
Even the headstock is shaped like the Gibson's; the only thing missing is the logo. I'm giving it a high rating in the features category because I happen to like fewer features. Lots of knobs and switches just make it harder to find the tone I want.

I'm a huge late-70s british punk/glam/rock and roll fan, so my aim is essentially to get that Mick Jones (Clash, not stupid Foreigner)/Johnny Thunders sound. I knew they used Les Paul Juniors. I traded my 2005 Gibson LP Jr. Single-Cut in for this one. I'm running the guitar into a Danelectro DJ14 Fish & Chips EQ then straight into my Crate Palomino V16 tube amp.
The difference between the two is amazing. I was pretty close to the tone I was looking for with the Gibson, but this guitar NAILED it. I had read somewhere that the second cutaway changes the tone somewhat and this seems to be the case. The Gibson was a little more trebly, and didn't break up as well at higher volume/gain levels. The Edwards also seems to have less hum, although it's a single-coil so it still hums like hell. But the sound is amazing... it has that dominating midrange that makes the guitar sound like a laser cannon. Think the Clash's debut album or anything by the New York Dolls/Johnny Thunders.
It even sounds pretty loud unplugged, not that I'd ever play it that way. :P I'm totally satisfied with the sound I'm getting here.

I bought this from a guy on eBay, and he set it up and restrung it before shipping.
Not only does this guitar sound better than my Gibson, it feels SO much more comfortable. The double cutaway and position of the second strap button make it much easier to reach the higher frets. The neck is slightly thinner than the chunky neck of my Gibson, but not too thin like on some cheaper guitars. It feels JUST right. Plus the whole damn guitar is only like 7 pounds. I feel like I could chuck it across the room with no effort whatsoever (not that I would do something so blasphemous to a guitar!).
The lacquer TV Yellow finish is really amazing and is much better than the nitro finish on those reissue Gibson Les Paul Specials I've been seeing a lot lately. It's a glossy finish but still lets the grain show through. Very nice.

I'm totally sold on Japanese guitars. This thing is my dream guitar, and I didn't have to shell out $10,000 to buy it. Feels like I'm playing a guitar that cost three times as much as I paid.
This guitar looks and feels like it's going to be around longer than I am. Strap buttons are solid, and I feel like it would last me 10 gigs without any problems (I'd probably restring it anyway lol).

Seeing as how this is a Japanese guitar and I bought it on eBay, I'm guessing there isn't any warranty, nor will I be able to deal with Edwards/ESP.

I've been playing guitar and writing songs for 10 years. I also have a crappy Ibanez Strat copy (my first guitar) and a Fender Mexican Standard Telecaster (for clean tones). This is my new main guitar. When recording, I like to have a Telecaster and my Junior complementing each other, I think they sound well together. Can't wait to record with this monster.
I love everything about it, but especially that I got it for WAY cheaper than a Gibson. If someone stole this guitar, I would be devastated, but would probably just save up a couple paychecks and import another one from Japan.
Maybe if my music gets popular I'll buy another one with a cherry finish. :P
