Made in Japan, got it shipped to Canada (cost ~2000$CAN)
The 27 frets are kind of unnecessary, but they occasionally come in useful. all the features on this guitar suit it perfectly, I am not left wanting in any departments on this bad boy... The coil tap is nice touch too, I can bust out some mad country licks if i feel like it. Also, the scalloped fretboard is just awesome, I love it. The neck is fairly thick too, not really a "shred" neck profile, though its very comfy i must admit.
Came with a genuine ESP Hard case too. Although, its missing that flamethrower i really wanted to light **** on fire. O well, ill get that on my customs...
Sound

I play through a JSX half stack, it sound ******* sweet. I play shred/power/thrash/plain ol' heavy metal, and this is my best sounding guitar. I also have an M-1000 and an RR-24, and the Edwards beats them both. the bridge pickup is slightly noisy, but its no big deal. I play straight in to the JSX, and just have delay, reverb, and noise suppression running through the loop. Very full sound, lots of bite and the harmonics are amazing, they actually jump off the fretboard and punch people (it killed my cat...) Due to the coil tap, you are open to nearly every tonal possibility, which comes in handy for clean parts (sounds great clean too, clear and strong). someone else compared the sound of a similar Edwards guitar to a piano, I would say that that is roughly accurate (it still is a guitar after all)
It sounds great, It has everything i want. The hot rails in the neck p/u are great for sweeps, and they have tons of harmonics in them, i love it. It converted me from an EMG fanboy to passive duncans.
Action, Fit, & Finish

well, considering it got shipped from china to canada, i think the action/set-up was pretty good. I havent had to intonate or set up the guitar either, maybe one day after it gets frozen in the -40C weather we get here, i might, but until then, its set up pretty good. The paint job is awesome, it looks great. the only weak part is the binding on frets 23-27... they kinda failed there. Its fairly sloppy, but you would have to really be looking close up to notice. Its no big deal, its the only flaw on the guitar, and its a slight one.
Reliability/Durability

this guitar is definatly sturdy. If its anything like my esp/ltd m-1000, it will last forever. I trust ESP and their brands to last forever, especially their higher end stuff. I have no worries with my new baby. I always play with a backup, but i would play without one in a pinch if i had my Edwards.
Its a light guitar, but feels very very sturdy. I could probably hit someone in the face with it as hard as i could, and then play a wicked guitar solo.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
Ive never had to deal with ESP or their affiliates for broken guitars, and i dont think this one will break down either. My warranty card is in Japanese, or Cantonese, or some kinda asian language i cant understand, so i guess the warranty is a moot point anyways.
Overall Rating

ive been playing for 5 ish years, im in 2 metal bands, i consider myself a higher skilled player (im not yngwie malmsteen or anything, but i try) and this suits my needs. This would be more than acceptable for any famous *** guitar ninja out there (it is, afterall, Kiko Loureiro's sig model). If someone stole it, i would ******* cut there balls off, and feed them to the little bastard who stole my gear. Considering they dont sell Edwards guitars in N. America, and that im probably the only one in Alberta with this guitar, i think i would be able to find them.
this guitar also fits well with my JSX, its like they were made for each other. my other guitars all have emgs, and although heavy, they just seemed to lack something when i played through a tube amp. But this guitar just loves the JSX and i am very very happy with my tone. the only thing it lacks is fret board inlays, but thats not a big deal
I give it a 9. theres always room for improvement right? But seriously, if you need to slay your enemies in style, get yourself one of these bad boys. I might have to get another one, so i can tune it to D-standard.
