Vintage LP clone. Made in 2005. One-piece Mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck. Flamed Maple veneer on two-piece Maple top. Duncan pickups, Gotoh hardware, Gold Gotoh tuners. With the "Super Circuit" feature for coil-tapping/out-of-phase sounds. "Relic" look. Only complaint as far as appearances would be the plain-jane triangular trussrod cover, but i imagine it can't be an exact replica due to trademark issues. The matte lacquer finish is beautiful and feels wonderful. Weighs about 8 pounds, i believe there is some chambering to keep the weight low.

Sound : 8
Nice tones from the pickups, the bridge pickup is bright and biting, neck pickup is a darker. With the Super Circuit there is a nice variety of tones available from clean Strat-like clear tone to nasty thick screaming sounds. I have heard good things about Duncan Antiquities, i wonder if changing the pickups would give it more of a 'vintage' breakup with quackiness.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Set up very well from the factory, nice medium-thick neck with thin finish feels great. Action easily adjustable via the Tune-o-matic bridge wheels. Bone nut is perfectly carved.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Very solid dependable axe, have already gigged a few times with it. Came with Schaller strap locks.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Made in Japan and i'm in the USA, so don't think it is practical, but i seriously doubt i'd ever need it with this one.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing for 25 years. I own a '62 Jazzmaster, '64 Melody Maker, '67 Melody Maker, '77 Gretsch Atkins Axe, '66 Hofner bass, and a few others.... I tried many Gibson Les Pauls over the years, this looks better than any of them and plays in the top 5... i hope that in a few years it will become 'seasoned' like the other vintage guitars i love, but even if it stays the same it is one helluva guitar for the $.
