Made in Japan,
Dark Purple Satin finish
twin EMG 81 's
Solid mahogany body & neck. Ebony fretboard. black hardware.
(This guitar is more or less an exact replica of a Gibson Les Paul custom, but the finish & workmanship here is surprisingly better than any new LP custom I have seen since the late 80's)
The pearl block inlays would probably be the only let down as they seem to be more of a plastic than m.o.p) but that is being very picky considering I only paid $1230.00 AUD for such a well built guitar. Still gets a 10 in my opinion.

Using this guitar with a MESA single rectifier 50w Head. Running through an awesome 50 kg heavy ENGL Standard 4 x 12 Cab. This cab sounds better than the vintage cab, or any Marshall cab, I don't care what anyone says ! I even preferrd this cab to the mesa cabs I tried.
Well to be expected, solid mahogany guitar, EMG 81's through a MESA Rectifier is gonna sound pretty damn good ain't it ?! Not much more to be said. I finally have my dream rig after all these years of owning crap. Very happy with this combination,

No flaws, every square millimetre is crafted like it was made by a Robot. Bought the guitar from Katana guitars Japan. This guy comes highly recommended in my books. If you are looking for premium Japanese made guitars, then this is the guy to get them from. I've bought two from him now & both were "set up" ready to play as soon as I pulled them from the box & tuned them. Even though the original strings are lite 10 to 42, they seem to stay in tune rather nicely which has surprised the hell out of me.
A1, I Highly recommend Katana guitars & ESP Edwards series!!!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Have not played live, or gigged yet. But the guitar is solid mahogany (Doesn't weigh quite as much as my 87 LP custom did, but darn that's a good thing !)
The finish is really really nice & thats all I have to say at this stage. 10 out of 10

Customer Support : No Opinion
Will not require !!

I would not lose this guitar, I'am not an idiot & if you tried to steal it, you better hope you don't F%&ck it up, because I'll put you in a grave if you do !!

This Edwards ESP guitar overall is equally as nice as my LP custom, I cant see the extra $2000 in the LP, (Oh, thats right, it has a Gibson logo on the headstock) I guess thats a bit like "Oakley" or "Porsche"
If Edwards continue to make such good quality guitars, then the likes of Gibson had better watch out..

This baby, no doubts or whatsoever, fits my METAL breath. My influence includes Children Of Bodom, The Haunted... I use Fender amp and soon to come... Zakk Wylde Amp head and cabinet. The following effects I used..

1) Sansamp GT2, 2) Bad Horsie, 3) Little Alligator, 4) Sansamp Acoustic DI 5) Boss Digital Delay and Reverb (RV5)

Soon I will also add MXR Van Halen Phase 90 and hopefully MAXON Flanger and Chorus to my chain list. It is not too noisy since my equipment and my pickups have pretty low noise level. In the bridge with the EMG-81, I achieve a crunching rhythm suitable for any Metal band, The Haunted, Slayer, Metallica, Children of Bodom, Emperor, Dissection etc. EMG-89 in the neck gives me a warmer tone, imagine Kirk Hammett's post chorus solo in Fade to Black; of course with the neck tone rolled back.

Since this is custom made for me by ESP Japan, I had my favourite DR Red Devil regular on with action being well done. This guitar is superbly done, no flaws under my microscopic eyes. =) I had to change my toggle switch once after much abuse on it but that's due to my playing and not a flaw.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is as solid as a rock. If you do your homework and gives this guitar its due care, this guitar will last as long as you can remember.

ESP Japan is fantastic. I have been communicating with them pretty often. They are friendly dudes. They are very busy that's all. Last but not least my ESP distributor in Singapore, no words to describe their kindness, patience and helpfulness. You know who YOU are!! Thanks.

I have been playing about 11 years. I have been using ESP guitars since Day 1. I like Gibson, PRS but personally ESP is my choice. I have ESP, LTD, Edwards, Grassroot and they are nothing but spectular equipment. I know I can rely ESP to deliver and that's the reason why I would folk out to own a ESP Kelly Hayes Custom Shop Eclipse and not Gibson Les Paul Custom.
