2005 E-SE-93-LTS.2 piece Alder body,21 frets,Rosewwod board,Maple neck.I ordered this in `05 from Ishibashi.Had a 12 in radius made for the board.3 SD vintage SSL-1 pickups. Vintage tuners.3 tone sunburst.Vintage block Gotoh trem. Bone nut.All nitro finished not a nitro topcoat.Push pull tone pot adds extra pickup configerations.5 way switch.A Strat.

Sound : 10
I play mostly Blues and classic rock.amps are Rivera Quianna and a Tweed Deluxe.I did some shielding to cut down noise it worked. After 45 years of Fenders thankfully i took a chance and ordered this from Japan. The SSl-1 pickups are a good match for a vintage sound. This Strat is much bigger and fuller sounding than anything I`ve played before. It lacks nothing in tone, just sounds awesome.Quack attack! With the push pull control even a bigger pallet of available tones.Tone is what it`s all about. It`s the best sounding Strat I`ve come across in 45 years.Acoustically it just rings loud.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Excellent! This is where the tone comes from.Woods used are a step up from all but the most expensive Fenders.Beautiful piece of Rosewood,no need for dye.Neck pocket is tight.Bone nut beautifully cut.Light nitro finish.I had a set up done.lowered the pickups,no bigy standard stuff. The fretwork is the best on any stock guitar I`ve seen just top notch.I have 2 custom Heatley`s and the fretwork and nut cut on this Edwards are as good as it gets.Medium C neck.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Been played hard for 3 years. So far so good.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing for over 45 years and have owned many and some very expensive Strats.I prefer the Edwards.I did order the 12 in radius which I like.Best Strat at any price if you can get over the headstock name[I can].I looked at Standard and custom shop Fenders, nice but no cigar. The Edwards is just built properly and you can feel it, hear it.I was expecting to replace some electronics but they are good pots and caps. I wouldn`t change anything. After 3 years I`m still amazed at the build quality and woods used to produce the best Strat I`ve come across.Best neck shape. I can understand some peoples hesitancy on these Japanese Strats and you must import them yourself. It`s well worth it.As on reviewer put it"when I pick up a Fender it just feels cheap" I agree.Yes,I would buy another one.I found "my" Strat.Good luck on yours.

This is from the 90's. It is an early model of Laquer Taste series by Edwards (ESP) guitars; it is very similar to E-SE-93LR/LT, Trino Red version (kinda cherry color, but darker). If you wanna see latest model of this guitar, just go to http://espguitars.co.jp/edwards/original/E-SE-93RLT.html and click on Trino Red color. Mine has 21 frets like vintage Fender's not 22 as in latest models and headstock logo is little different (old style), but it is nearly the same guitar.

Guitar is a perfect Fender copy, actually much better than standard USA Fender's in playability (IMHO!). Like all Edwards models this is too produced for Japanese market only, but somehow it ended up at my local music shop. I have never tried an Edwards guitar before this, because obviously they were all copies, I always prefered to play the real thing. Now I understand why these are expensive as Fender's, because they are better, I can assure you on this. I played Fender's for 16 years and when I tried this Edwards first time it was a perfect fit for me, it felt much better than any other Fender's that I've ever owned or played. In Japan they are selling these for around 98000 yens (about 800$), but I bought mine for 470$, second hand. Bargain.

Nothing special for the looks, usual strat specifications like 3 single pickups, 5 way selector switch, bolt-on neck with ESP stamped neckplate, classic tremolo bridge, skunk stripe, .. etc etc. Body is alder and neck is maple with nice and smooth rosewood fingerboard. Frets are wider than Fender frets, not jumbo but thicker. Action is much lower than my current Fender, without any rattles. Also it is heavy for an alder body guitar (i really don't know why).

Stoner. Highs are bright and loud, you can feel every little mo, response and you get from the pickups is amazing. All pickups are outstanding. No background shit, very silent. strong sound.

I usually play hard rock and sometimes really heavy stuff like Down, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, etc. This is one of the guitars that you can actually widen your horizon and play anything from blues to heavy metal. It fits to all moods and styles. It never gets muddy.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I bought this second hand and there were some scratches on the scratchplate but hey, that's why they put it there.. At the back there are some hardly noticable buckle scratches.

Fit is very good, there is no space at body - neck joint, fitted extremely well and it looks tight. Bridge and pickups are well balanced and placed correctly. Everything cut, placed and finished properly on this one.

Neck reminds me old vintage Fender models, it is lacquered and flamed and it looks so cool that sometimes I wanna kiss it.

I am looking at it right now and I cannot see even one flaw.

I've been playing since 1988, geez. I have owned and played countless guitars. Right now, I own an American Fender strat and a Gibson SG Menace (bought new last year, not very nice but cool looking).

I wish I had bought this one first so I wouldn't have had to buy and trade all the other Fenders. If you're a strat fan you will not be disappointed with this instrument. This guitar is very hard to put down, you will want to play it all the time, of course, if you can find one to purchase. You will get up early for work to play, you will stay up late to play, you will practice. After this Edwards, when I play my Fender I feel like I am playing a lemon.

A great guitar and a great bargain. This is a very versatile guitar that will probably stand a lifetime. Do not miss if you find one.
