Features : 7
this is an early seventies El Degas C-130 Classical guitar (nylon strings) I'm not sure where it was made, 21 frets. the body appears to be mahogany, looks just like every other classical guitar.

Sound : 8
i play blues and metal, and for acoustic blues and power ballads, this guitar fares well. i didn't buy this guitar, so i have to say that it is not the best guitar for this kind of music, but the sound quality and volume are both good. it sounds like it would play spanish ballads rather well, and it plays "Dee" by Randy Rhoads perfectly. My only complaint in this category is that there is a major buzz when playing on the 1st string at the 11th and 12th frets. Also, this guitar does not stay in tune very well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action on this guitar is about average. The strings sit kind of high off of the fretboard, but because they are nylon they are very easy to push donw. there are no finish flaws, and the wood seems to be high quality.

Reliability/Durability : 6
I think this guitar would be ok to play live, but it'd definantly have to be miked since there is no way to put a magnetic pick-up in it. The hardware seems durable, but the tuners are kind of big and are made of plastic. Scratches very easily, extremely light.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
This guitar isn't too bad for it's age and it's price. i also have a gibson sg special, an ibanez gsa-20, and a Charvel model 375. since i have no other acoustic guitars, i can't really compare this guitar to my electrics. I don't think it could be exactly replaced since these guitar are no longer made, but i think a yamaha or a fender classical would be about equivalent. if you know anything about this guitar or this brand of guitars, let me know.
