I beleive this guitar sold new with case for around $175.00 plus in 1974 up in Labrador City. This girl I knew needed some money and I think I got it for $50.00. Just still have it. Any one who trys it out, always ask me if I want to sell it.
It is a unit tha was make in Japan. It had been a good all around instrument and I probably will keep it around for a few more years.

Playing this git for about 30 years, off and on. I also have a Fender Pre Bass, with Traynor BassMaster YBA 1 Head and 3-15 roll & pleat Kustom bottom.
Bottom line, I have seen other El Degas guitars and all have been well built and finished and all have sounder great. For what they sold for, they were a great guitar
