This is a cheaply made guitar.All hardware feels cheap and is cheap.Needs tuners,switches,pots and a nut to gig,which I have done.

This is a 70's Japanese Sg "lawsuit" guitar. Exact body proportions of an SG ca.1956-1963, Dual-hummers (bridge output 2x neck, trapeziod inlays (probably plastic, though hard to really tell), wine colored with cream neck binding around all, even headstock!, Inlaid "El-Degas" bolt-on neck (my only gripe - otherwise a 10!), though pretty well done one, pretty firm after 30+ years!! Truly a visual copy of the SG - I should know, i had a real 62'!!

Ok, amps and effects first - Crate GT-80 and GT200 DSP (both - look up reviews, they ROCK!!); Peavey Studio 210, and Classic VTX (tube-120 watts); MusicMan HD130 head-amp with Peavey 412M cab, Crate PA-200 stereo rack-amp, Traynor-made Yorkville YB-15 Bass amp, Crate BA-350 Bass-amp, Peavey Backstage Plus with a 12" Scorpion crammed in!, Crate GX-15R; Effects - Carvin Quad X Pre-amp (4 channels, rocks-ass), Digitech Studio Quad (3 of them , Digitech RP20 (rocks), various others too numerous for here; I have a small studio, if you haven't guessed, and think I have some of the best ears in the BIZ;
I also have 25+ other guitars, of various vintages and makes, so why buy this Japanese copy you may ask?? Simply put (btw-I'm a native-american and Scot mix, not Asian) - The Japanese have been making stringed instruments for 3000 years, so they may just know a thing or two, we just usually get the crap, like we do from most of the rest of the world!! anyways, this guitar emulates the best in what the original SG offered, and still does, though I may put a Dimarzio Tone-Zone in the bridge, to bring out the wood's best harmonics. There's a reason that those lawsuits happened, not just the copying, but the extent of it!! When you come too close, people worry - a LOT!! This is a good example, Basically, I just bought a 61' Gibson SG for $150.00, hmmmmm, I think I would sue too!! I can play pretyy much most styles you've heard, plus a few you may not know well - like Robin Trower, Elliot Easton, Pat Metheny (went to College with him at U of Miami), Rare Earth, Foghat, And too many others, and this guitar handles them all to a "T", with or without effects, nuff' said!!

Got this in a pawnshop 30+ years after it's birth, with (I'll bet)quite a few owners between, and it still was set up like factory, althoug the finish has probably seen a better day, I'll sweeten her up though!! intonation, neck settings, and all just great. Neck feels like a cross between a Carvin DC-200, and a RG- series Ibanez, pretty flat but very playable
