Features : 10
Japanese-built hollowbody ES-335 copy, gold pickup covers, gold hardware, original dual humbucking pickups, tobacco sunburst finish, original electra tuners, set neck, no MPC effects, full tortise-shell binding.

Sound : 10
I'm a jazz/rock/blues player and this guitar does it all amazingly well. The sound is very much like a Gibson ES-335 only with more sustain. Everybody who hears this guitar is amazed at how smooth and warm it sounds. Turn it up and it's got plenty of snarl, but it never loses its sophistication and polish.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I bought this at a pawn shop and it needed a setup job. It was in great condition (didn't look like it had been played much and probably sat in a closet for 20 years). I brought it to my local luthier and he turned into a thing of beauty. The neck is smooth and fast. The guitar has a rock-solid feel to it -- moreso than the ES335 or ES330's that I used to have. It's rather heavy, but the finish is beautiful and it's put together as well as any other guitar I've ever had (and I've had dozens). The overall feel is somewhat reminiscent of the Ibanez Artist I had and loved in the 80s, although thankfully, this one doesn't weigh quite as much as that did.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This sucker's 25 years old and still looks and plays like new. It would be VERY tought to kill this beast.

They don't do guitars anymore. No big deal. The local guitar shop can do anything you need done. These are easy to work on and accept a wide variety of hardware.

Overall Rating : 10
I'm 38 years old and have been gigging nonstop since I was 15. This is as good as any guitar I've ever had. If this guitar were stolen I'd scour the pawnshops, find another one and get it restored just like I did this one. For less than $350 I got a versatile guitar I would take over any Gibson 335 I've ever played.

I bought this guitar in 87 or 88 for $150, and was the ONLY electric I had until last year. It was the only one I needed. The wood is heavy with a deep brown, tobacco-y finish. No pick-guard. Two dual humbuckers and two volume and tone controls with a three-way switch. The neck matches the body, with a black fretboard and center-dot pearly inlays. Headstock has Electra logo and inverted peace-sign logo. Standard tuners also have the logo.

Sound : 10
The sound has always been awesome and the envy of my friends. Bright and mellow when played clean, but thick and clear with gain. The first position was always bright enough for solo's. The second and third positon was good for softer rhythm and less piercing treble. The pick-ups are just now starting to pop and crackle at high volumes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Have done very little to this guitar other than replacing the bridge and cleaning the tailpiece. The finish is dinged up and scratched in some places after years of accidents and tough-love. And the pick-ups are a little oxidized, and replacing them is slated to be my first guitar restoration project

Reliability/Durability : 9
This is the only electric guitar I owned until I recently. It has withstood my early, formative, experimental years of guitar playing in the deep, dark corners of high-school. I played with it live for two years in college, during the highly-experimental (ie. self-destructive) years, and still sounds great today in the 21st century

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have never needed it until now. Apparently there is none. I am interested in learning more about Electra.

Overall Rating : 9
Amped through a Peavy Audition 20 and then a Fender Princeton 112+.
Recently bought a Washburn 228, so I can work on sort of restoring the Electra and still have an axe. The Washburn as hb/sc/hb pickups and 5-way, but doesn't even touch the Electra as far as sound. It sounds artificial or hollow, not the full fat sound. I guess I'm spoiled.

I am not exactly sure what year this guitar was made but I bought it at a pawn shop in 1982 for $135.00 with the hardshell case. I am guessing it was the late 1970's.
The guitar is a Gibson 335 copy with 22 frets, two tone controls, two volume and a three way selector switch.
It has two stock Electra humbucking pickups. Passive electronics and gold hardware.
Body is I believe to be maple with a very nice flame maple top and back.
Neck is mahogany, with a triangular pearl inlayed rosewood fretboard and headstock peace sign logo. Finish on the body looks like a tobacco like sunburst. It has tortise shell binding everywhere including the two F holes.
Double cutaway. Tune-O-Matic bridge with a cool trapeze tail piece.
Tuners are stock, non locking Electra, which are tulip shaped and gold plated.
Neck is thin and fast, but on the narrow side with medium frets.

Sound : 8
The Electra X410, 335 copy is a very well built guitar. The neck is surprizingly excellent for an early Japanese guitar.
This guitar would be good for Blues, jazz, rock and country. I play rock and blues mostly.
It has a nice bright/mellow sound and is quiet.
The only thing I dislike about the guitar is the narrow neck. The high E and Low E strings are very close to the edge of the fretboard, so you have to be careful when playing lead, as you might make the string fall off the fret board.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The fit and finish are very good. It does not have bookmatched flame maple top and back, but is strikingly nice to look at. Everything seems to be correct and good quality.

Reliability/Durability : 10
A very reliable guitar that is roadworthy. The gold plating seems to be on the thin side. The finish is very good and durable.
Nice solid strap buttons with a deep inner cut, so you do not need strap locks. Dependable and gigable without a back up, but I never gig with only one guitar on hand.

Sorry to say that this company cannot be contacted, as they were made in Japan and sold under a USA company years ago.

Overall Rating : 10
I think this guitar was a steal at $135.00 back in 1982. Today I would value it at around $1000.00. I have not seen another like it with the trapeze tailpiece. It is a wonderful, well made axe that will indeed be a strong axe years to come. It caught my eye because of the beauty. And the price was unbelievable. I went home and could not sleep thinking about it. I had no money at the time, so I asked a dear Aunt at the time, if she would loan me the cash until I got my tax returns. She loaned me the $135. I beat feet to Grand Rapids and prayed it would still be there. It was and I was a happy camper!

I also own two Fenders- Strat and Tele, two Gibson LP's, a custom made electric, an Ovation Acoustic, a P.O.S. Rogue Strat, that I play slide on, Peavey Foundation fretless Bass and a Carvin DC 127.
I have been playing guitar for 33 years and play semi- pro. I have recorded in studios and have been sucessfull with recordings locally aired on radio.
