aluminum neck through, solid machined neck/fingerboard, dunlop stainless frets. schaller bridge i think! grover tuners. all great quality hard wear. 10, i say this because it has all the features i need.... simplicity and understated power.
Sound

the sound is undescribeable. depending on how hard you dig in it reacts more so than any guitar ive previously played. very VERY dynamic!
think steve albini, jesus lizard, but at the same time it can be very subtle. i have yet to really crank up my setup to see what it can do but so far im amazed and very pleased! 10, i give it that cuz the rating doesnt go up any higher!
Action, Fit, & Finish

body finish is done well, black with a black white black pickguard, chrome hardwear throughought. it looks intimidating to be sure! pickups were in the sweet spot, intonation needed work , nut welll... the nut slots are a touch rough and the finish on the nut was less than stellar, frets are level and polished like damn mirrors, theres a nick in the fingerboard at the 12th thats an eyesore but ill let it slide it isnt a playability hinderance and isnt that noticable at all, im just a hobby builder and picky.

i dont think anything could really fuck this guitar up. barring of course me dropping it off stage or falling out of a moving vehicle id say itll out last me and you by a fair margin

kevin is a top shelf guy, feilding my questions as soon as he could. warrenty hmm i didnt ask him! ill have to see but ill assume lifetime for the original owner but dont quote me on that! talk to the man himself. like i said hes a great guy and i would absolutely not hesitate in ordering another instrument from him.
Overall Rating

playing bass for 13 years and guitar off and on for about 4. i also build guitars and have a pretty deep knowledge of the mechanics of sound.... this guitar quite frankly blew me away. i dont think i could even exaggerate this fact. i was floord when i plugged it in. it may not be everyones cup of tea tone wise but if you are ordering one odds are your after it for this very reason. if i lost it (hahah never happening!) or had it stolen (god i hope that never happens) id definatly have it replaced once my insurance money hit my account! due to the rarity of travis beans , and the outrageous price of them , kevin has definatly carved himself a nich market that i think will never diminish.
