This guitar is EXACTLY the same as the Encore Vintage Standard (see my review) therefore all my comments and opinions are also valid for this instrument. The Vintage Standard and the Custom Delux are exactly the same, apart from on the Custom Delux all hardware is gold plated instead of chrome, the Lace pickup covers being black instead of white, the body being clear lacquer, rather than a solid colour and two string trees, rather than one. Equal to my 96 Fender Standard Stratocaster in every respect - apart from prestige, is my honest opinion. Nicer looking, in my opinion, than the Encore Vintage Standard (I have both).
