This is a strange beast...It's a 3/4 size body with a full size neck....vaguely strat like. 1 open coil humbucker, volume, tone and not much else.

Sound : 7
This is odd too, because I really like the sound. It's not got as much power as a lot of pickups, but it seems to have good clarity. It's fairly toppy...a sort of strange mixture of a P90 with a pinch of Telecaster. Not a good metal guitar, but it seems to handle bluesy type stuff and the odd foray into Hendrix territory quite well.Sustain is pretty good for a cheapo cheapo.

The one pickup also fattens up by rolling some treble off, good for fake neck pickup tones.

I prefer the sound of this pickup to others I have, including Epiphone humbuckers, An Ibanez AH, a Jackson humbucker and a Dimarzio Tone Zone.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Action is medium - low, but I generally prefer guitars set up this way. This guitars has a bit of fight to it, but good for getting right under the string for big bends. The neck is pretty thick and chunky....not a fast neck but pretty comfortable.

Finish seems like indestructible black plastic...I've thrown this thing and hardly marked it!

The worst part for me is the bridge...the height adjustment screws on the saddles are sharp and can be painful. They also tend to vibrate out of the guitar and get lost.

The tuners are open backed 3 on a strip rubbish, 1 was bent when it arrived and I hammered it straight. Funnily enough I have absolutely NO tuning problems with it!

Reliability/Durability : 3
As mentioned above, the bridge is the biggest problem. I have gigged this guitar and had to abandon it due to screws falling out.

I always take backups for gigs.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing a long time and own many other guitars.

I got it for nothing after asking around for old guitars to smash up at gigs....It turned up and was way too nice to smash.

It's real strong point for me is the sound...It's a really interesting sounding guitar, and has far more character than a lot of more expensive stuff. It's puts up a little bit of a fight when you play it, but thats not always a bad thing. Decent tuners and a replacement bridge would sort the worst..I may get around to doing this, just to improve the potential unreliability. Also dabbled with the idea of fitting a single coil neck pickup.

If you can get over the fact that this guitar looks a bit toylike, then I think it could be a good indie/punk machine and possibly a decent blues guitar....hike the action a bit and use it for slide!

How well was the guitar set-up at the factory? (How was the action?)
How well were the pickups adjusted?
Properly bookmatched top? Properly routed bridge?
Did the guitar contain any flaws? (misaligned bracing, poorly filed fretwire,
finish flaws, poor quality wood, rusted or oxidized hardware, loose tuning pegs,
poorly cut nut, poorly fit saddle, noisy pickup selector, loose controls, etc...)

The guitar was made in India, around 1992. It features 1 Volume control and 1 tone control. There is one humbucker just above the bridge and the bridge is fixed with no tremolo and the body is composite which makes it vey heavy - (the body is 3/4 scale, but the neck is full size). The neck is suprisingly good for the price, but it is a little fat. The tuners are unknown and they have engravings on the back (Some fancy pattern). My guitar was in black.

Sound : 2
I got this guitar around 8 years ago - and I was only 9 at the time. It was purely a begginers guitar, and it served me well for around 5 years. The sound from the single uncovered humbucker was very raw but weak. The sound varied from the dodgy electrics - the tone control didn't work but when you turned it changed the volume!. The sound was very poor and not very well suited to any style.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
The finish on the guitar was very poor - lumps of black here and there on the body, and the nut was a nightmare - The space for the low E string was far too deep and wide and it needed some kitchen roll lodged in to stop it from buzzing. The action was very, very poor, but I only realised how to change it a good few years after I bought it The Hex key to adjust the action didn't even fit!. The tuners were also very loose but for some reason the guitar stayed in tune remarkably well.

Reliability/Durability : 2
Absolubtly awful - the finish on the body was extremly thin in places and thick in others, the strap kept falling off and the cheapest hardware you could ever hope to buy on it. If I still had it now I would take to a gig - And smash it up as a finale.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them but they probably don't have any english speaking workers

Overall Rating : 3
It was the first guitar I had and yes, it was bloody awful, but It helped me learn my first few chords and notes. About 3 years ago I got fed up with it so I got a saw and cut through the body and salvaged the Humbucker, Vol and tone control, the bridge and the neck and sold them to my mate for #40, just to get rid of it. Now things have moved on I own a Squier strat, a heavy metal strat, a mexican tele, a USA strat and my Rickenbacker 330 - Try playing the opening riff of Day Tripper on that - Beautiful.

This guitar has 1 'no-name' humbucker nearish the brige 1 volume, 1 tone. It looks like a strat and is black 'plasticy' finished. 22 medium frets with a rosewood fingerboard. It has an ajustable Strat style bridge and has some wierd unknown tuners.
I got the beast second hand from my friend but originally it came with a lead. Oh and it's an Indian import.
The features are not good for me really Its got the bare minimum but I suppose it is good for a begginer (as I was)

Sound : 2
I like Mike Oldfield music and he uses a huge variety of sounds from his guitars. This guitar doesn't produce any of them unfortunately. Though it may be because I only use a crap amp this guitar sounds quite terrible, When clean it's to sharp for me enless i twiddle the tone knob, In crunch this guitar acctually sounds reasonable as long as I even out the treble on the amp. When in high gain this guitar is way too cutting even with a humbucker, the noise of the plectrum is amplified so every note begins with a CRUNCH. I must say however this guitar can really punch out some power chords so it is good for thrash, but the pick up is overwound and is terrible for lead. Lastly - this guitar has a nasty pickup hum.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
The action was Ok i suppose but the bass strings buzz and rattle too much. The intonation was badly off so i did a little tinkering with the saddle. The pickup was sloping downwards one way so I adjusted that.
The frets are quite good overall a little wear but no sharp edges.
The controls are noisy too.

Reliability/Durability : 2
Where to begin.....I've has to refit the plug jobby about 3 times because it just falls off.
the tone knob fell off.
The strap buttons are loose all the time.
The tuners occasionally fall off while there are no strings attached.
The finish is hard as nails but it's pure plastic so what do you expect.
I'm not sure how long the pickups gunna stay in.
I wouldn't gig with it. Would you?

Customer Support : 3
The company are of in Botswana or somewhere and i'm not really bothered about them.

Overall Rating : 4
I've been playing a year now and i've progressed alot but it was'nt really thanks to this guitar. If it were stolen I would be greatfull.
I love the thought of getting a new guitar and I hate the sound and the bad playability of this one.
I will not sell it though il keep it for sentimental value.
Allthough i've harshly critisised it i've given it a four because this guitar does it's job and is ok value for what i payed for it.
