Sunburst Effect (kinda looks like slash's new signature) les paul plasticy bits, 22 frets jumbo?? 3-way selector, 4 tone/volume knobs. H-H pickup setup. Original pickups are crap. But i bought some BareKnucklePickups. Rosewood fretboard and i dunno what body type, tune-o-matic bridge. Medium Thickness Neck , painted gloss. Free amp, leads, bag and strap
Sound
:

Suits My Style Quite well. I play mostly Metal (metallica, slipknot, megadeth etc) Hard Rock (Velvet Revolver) And Instrumental (Joe satriani, steve vai, eric johnson).
Since I got my new pickups this is a beast!!! Can Get Any Sound You Want, I Run it through a zoom 707ii effects unit and a marshall valvestate 8080. For a cheap Guitar this thing rawks. With neck pickup selected you get a really fat clean sound and a good slash style sound and with bridge pickup u get a very biting sound similar to dimebag darrell, and with both pickup selected u can get a good satriani sound...but this is after new pickups with originals sound is quite muddy but clean is ok.

When I Got this the set-up was terrible action was like an acoustic, but after fiddling with it for about 3 hours got set-up perfect, mostly luck as i knew nothing about how to set-up guitars. Shocked My Guitar teacher lol. Most things seem solid enough strap buttons are a little loose but easily fixed. Seems solid enough, i had this on the floor and stood on the neck by accident, didnt snap or bend. Finish is quite nice and you can see wood grain thorugh paint on mine kinda like a maverick

This guitar would easily stand live playing never comes out of tune, but not without replacing pickups (and if you dare go on stage with "Encore" on headstock lol) Hardware and everything seem like it will last, strap buttons loosen sometimes but not dramatically, nothing a matchstick cant fix, I would use this without a back-up quite happily. Iv had this guitar for about a year and have been shredding on it so frets are wearing slightly, but nothing major

i have been playing one year and this guitar has been good to me, after all i can play eugenes trick bag, not many ppl can say that after 1 year playing lol. If it were stolen or lost I dont think i would buy it again because i think it is time for an upgrade, Maverick F1 awaits. This is much better than a squire strat which every1 seems to buy, my friend has epiphone sg and he likes this better. It plays like the epiphone zakk wylde bullseye (well mine does anyway) i wish it had a whammy bar, but very rare to get them on LP's

Its a Black Les Paul Copy with creamy plastic bits, and it has all the features of a Les Paul copy.
Sound
:
7
The sound is ok, its exactly what you expect from a Les Paul copy, and doesn't fair to unfavourably with my friends Epiphone 56 Gold Top copy. To say the sound is flat and/or muddy is missing the point of this. However, I picked up a pair of old Epiphone Humbuckers and put them on to no great improvement. I recently changed the pots and I accidently unleashed the ROCK!! She has a lot more oomph now.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

She is put together ok, although the electrics seem to consist of low grade parts, the bridge is not quite set properly, and the big flat frets aren't the best, but that is being harsh on a budget guitar. Its ok, but Encore make much, much better strat copy's.

I think it will survive anything now, but then I've changed everything original that would let me down. In origianl condition though... not for gigging.

I wanted a Les Paul for fun, and when I discovered a friend had this sitting in his loft for 4 years I had to have it. It was originally in black but I decided to use it as a project, so now it has a pink satin finish (think: guitar shaped bubble gum) and a pink dice drilled onto the tone selector. The only thing I'm tempted to change now is the neck, but I don't play it enough to bother. Its fun though, for whenever I'm in the mood for some heavy rock.

hello, i just purchased this yesterday from a junk shop. you know the features its a les paul copy...got a free capo with it thats it oh and a strap.
Sound
:

my style of music is heavy punk, post hardcore. im using it thru a 100watt marshall valvestate, SD1, Rat 2, BF-2, DD-3, CE-5, Digitech whammy.i have to say that this instrument generally sounds pretty shit, the pick ups, not that i know a lot about pick ups but they seem horrible, plasticy cheapo crap, which was what i expected. the sound is my perfect deffinition of muddy, especially with distortion. i guess it was ok, just ok on clean. it has the seperate volumes for each pick up and a selector switch, so you can try and sound like tom morello, but you more than likely wont.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

well i dont really know about factory set up as it was second hand. but the action on mine was pretty fine, they had a capo on the first fret to stop a buzzing from the 1st little E string, but i just adjusted the hieght and it was fine. the strings i think are still probably stock and will change them soon. i dont really like the pick ups what so ever. but everything looked pretty. ah one flaw tho. the thin e string is cutting deep into that bit at the top. i dont know the name of it. the bit just before the first fret that the strings run thru. yeah its just cheapo plastic crap, and the thin string is cutting thru it.
oh another thing. the neck is pretty fat to what im used to anyway, compared to the ibanez and jackson i own they have like super thin necks, it kinda feels like im playing an acoustic its that fat, i dont care tho.

i think u may sound a bit shit, but it could take live playing. not without a backup obviously. but yeah. the finish seems fine to me, second hand it just had one slight unoticable mark. one strap screw seems a little loose but thats not really a problem that a match stick wont sort out if it got worse. there were no general playing marks on it at all except a bit on the pick guard

ok well, this i bought as a present, i have been playing about 6 years and wouldnt not buy this for myself, its a beginners guitar. i wouldnt even pay for it if it was new, i only got it for the cheap second hand price. i would probably opt for a strat (and i am totally anti stratocaster/telecaster they are boring, am i the only one that gets pissed off walking into a guitar shop and just being able to look at a wall of different colour stratocasters? i mean i dont give a shit if there popular, give people some damn variety) if you were thinking of paying the new price on this. there a shit loads of decent second hand strats about. but overally for what i payed i didnt have many complaints, they were all expected.

I play Instrumental rock/drony/noise, and while this guitar may not be brilliant, for the price it's certainly worthwhile. Has a reasonably bassy sound, not too piercing treble. It can make any sound I need it to. If you ask me, paying #1000 more for a Gibson (unless you are rich/have more money than sense) is ridiculous.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

Action faaaaar too high, but apart from that everything was set up correctly. The finish was fine (until I started using it). The pickup selector handle thing came off, but that was my fault. 3 points knocked off for the action. It wasn't a problem to lower the strings, but after I did the low e buzzed permanently.

I've thrown this guitar 20-30ft across a room, thrown it at my amp, stood on it, it's fallen over, and just general abuse. The only that's remotely damaged is the finish, and there is only one noticeable mark.

I've been playing for about 2 years now, and this was my second guitar (I sold the first one). If it were stolen I would buy another cheap guitar, quite possibly this model. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about damaging this guitar when I'm playing, as it can take anything I throw at it (literally).
For the money, this guitar is a 10.

I see a lot of sad kids buying these guitars just because they wanna les paul. If you love the les paul you owe it yourself not to support these crappy 'copies' that have the workmanship of monkeys. All they do is give the les paul a bad name and image.
At the least save up for an epiphone. They're not great but they are a hell lot better than this load of junk. Don't bother with the i'm too poor excuse either. Stop smoking or something. If you're really going to be a player you'll save up for a damn les paul and make your money's worth by being a GREAT guitarist with it. If you just want to be a poser with some gay encore LP around your neck and then quit after a month then you are a disgrace, and you deserve an Encore.

This is quite an old guitar. I'm not sure what the hell it's made out of but judging by the weight and sustain I'd say mahogany or maple. Made in the 1970s and has two humbuckers, 22 frets and a rather attractive sunburst finish.
Sound
:

It sounds crap. Simple as that. But then again what can you expect from a guitar this cheap. You can't tell that they are humbuckers cus they're still as noisy as a single coil. Remeber in school when you used to put rubber bands around a margarine tub necause you were too lazy to actually make any effort for the music project, well it sounds a bit like that, just worse distortion. Cleans aren't bad though.

When I bought this guitar I had absoloutly no idea about guitars and therefore thought it was totally normal for the strings to be about 12 meters from the fretboard. Don't expect to be able to play fast with this thing because it takes about 30 seconds to be able to fret a sodding note. It looks pretty though....just don't play it that's all.

Oh yeah, it's built like a tank. I can't get rid of the thing. It refuses to break no matter how many tall buildings I throw it off. Would make an excellent murder weapon though. If you can lift it.

I've been playing for two years now and also own a custom scalloped Maverick F3 and a Line 6 Flextone 2. The one thign I can say for this guitar is that it's so difficult to play that within a few years of hard practice with it, pick up a proper guitar and you'll be playing like Yngwie. Buy one, go on, just for comedy value.

The Guitar boasts two humbucker pickups and a 22 fret maple neck. I bought it just under a year ago and it probably wasn't the best choice for a first guitar. I've playeds many others and none have been quite so difficult for fast playing. However I use with a Peavy Blazer 158 amp and Zoom GFX 707 effects processor and it seems to work OK. I don't know whether it's just me but the last few frets seem far to close for fast playing (or maybe my fingers are simply too fat.) Also it's quite heavy for the size but other than that I like it.
Sound
:
6
The clean sound this guitar makes is excellent. It has a very 1950's sort of sound which I havn'e found to this extent on any other guitar I've played. Obviously it's a budget so I wasn't expecting it to ound like a Strat or an actual Les Paul but it's ok. Unfortunatly I don't know whether it's just me (I'm not quite an expert yet) but every single string rings out annoyingly when you hammer on or pull off. This sounds very unprofessional even though it's not your fault.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

The guitar seems to be put together pretty well apart from the few times the 1st string has somehow got jammed under the pickup. That is the problem I have with the set up, that the pickups aren't really fixed in properly.

In my opinion I think this guitar would withstand live playing although I suppose it's only aimed at begginers and so would probably only be used in the home. So far I've no problems with the finish or hardware, infact this one hell of a durable guitar able of withstanding falling off the the strap (fault of the strap, not the guitar.)

I've been playing this guitar for just under a year now and I'm quite impressed. I've heard people slagging it off against such guitars as the Epiphone and Telecaster but the fact is that it's a budget guitar and it does exactly what it's supposed to. If it would have been stolen when I first started playing, yeah I'd have bought another. But, now that I've been playing for just under a year I think I'm gonna upgrade.

I've been playing for about 10 years now. I'm 24. So, I got this thing when i was about 14, had it till i was 17 or 18, sold it after i got my first "real" git: one of those piece of s**t floyd rose strats that would self-destruct every time i'd break a string... i sold that and got a new Les Paul classic in 1995... had it ever since, love it! what can i say, by getting a real les, it all came full circle with the encore!!!! these things are great for beginners! I was just surprised to see it up here! nobody had ever heard o f the company when i had it, and it became a source of great humor for my bandmates and me! you guys are so complete!!! harmony central roolz!
