Uber-RARE Japanese-made (about 73) fat bodied Jazz guitar.
Absolutey FANTASTIC build quality.
This guitar is a real odd-ball becasue as most guitar players know Encores are fairly basic beginners guitars.
BUT THIS IS NOT!
This RARE guitar was made, I believe, at the Fuji Genn Gakki factory where the very BEST Japanese law-suit era guitars were made.
The standard of build on this guitar is...dare I say it...AS GOOD AS A GIBSON!
Yeh...I know!
Genuine mother of pearl and abalone inlaid headstock, gold plated hardware, faultless finish all over.
It's gorgeous.

The sounds available from this beautiful guitar are IMMENSE.
The more I play it, the more I think it MUST have been made by Gibson or Guild or one of those guys.
I can play rockabilly, jazz, blues...the lot, on this.

I have owned and played literally HUNDREDS of guitars over the last 35 years and NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, has been as well put together as this.

Built like a tank.
Finish still flawless after nearly 40 years.

This guitar was probably a one-off.
You'll never find another one.
Cos I have it!
I wouldnt even bother JHS, they would know what I was talking about.

Been playing since 1972, owned probably 150 guitars.
I bought this off of a sweet, but completely ignorant, seller on Ebay who had listed it as "an acoustic guitar".
What it IS, is a one-off (I suspect) hand-made jazz guitar of the highest buld quality.
I cannot emphasise how good this guitar really is.
The fact that it is labelled "Encore" at the top of the headstock (in beautiful abalone), just makes it all the funnier!
Don't try finding another one...you wont.
