1967 Flying V re-issue copy. Solid Body possibly, its cheap so its prolly basswood or maybe even plywood. The paint is excellent, mine is black with white pickguard. Ive since updated with a Gibson truss rod cover and all black screws everywhere, looks awsome. Solid stop tailpiece with tune-o-matoc bridge, chrome. Grover tuners, although the G will not stay in tune for long. Rosewood fretboard with painted neck. Killer retro knobs similar to old 70's television sets. Overall, for just over $200 bucks new in the box its great. They usually sell for about $325 but I got one on ebay new in the box for only $220 shipped....BARGAIN !! This thing plays like a mid-grade $600 to $800 rig.

Sound : 8
For cheap guitar, this one is nice. Nails the early Metallica metal sound as well as Randy Rhodes on the spot. Stock pickups are actually not that bad...but throw a Duncan Distortion, SH-6 I think, in the bridge and it really beefs up the sound. Im playing through a tone port modeler on my computer as well as a Marshall AVT50 with a celestion V30 and a Boss SD-1 Overdrive. I could hear the differnce instantly when I dropped in the Duncan Distortion...a big smile. Roll back on the gain and its possible to get a zzTop just got paid sound but this guitar is EARLY 80's metal all the way.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I bought mine from an online music store and it was already set up, dont know about factory set up, mine was set up nice and low with minimal fret buzz. This neck may have been a mistake...ITS AWSOME !! Very fast and the action is very low. One of the easiest guitars Ive played...again, this could have been a mistake, remember this is a cheap guitar. The only flaw I found was the nut was not filed deep enough on the little E string groove and it would slip out, but I fixed that in 30 seconds. I bought this guitar solely so I could say I have a V....I use it only for certain songs. No nned to go out and pay $1,000 for a axe that has its own specific sound. This one will do you just fine.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Just got it a month ago so I have nothing for this section

Customer Support : No Opinion
Again, its new so I cant say.

Overall Rating : 8
Ive been playing 20 years and I have been through about 15 guitars, mainly cheap and mid grade. As mentioned earlier, I think this guitar may be the pick of the litter or the Korean guy really put some effort into it...the neck is killer fast and the action is super low with very little buzz. With the added Duncan Distortion in the bridge, this thing smokes for old school Metallica/Megadeth and early Ozzy/Randy Rhodes, early Scorpions. However, it really isnt that versatile, EARLY 80's Metal and I stress EARLY is this guitars perfect match. Think Crazy Train, Hit the Lights, and Rock you like a Hurricane...and thats what it will do, and do well
