I have a "1965" Epiphone Casino which was made in 1997? but design of the mid 1960's. The parts are from japan but assembled in the Land of the Free. I like it because it only has two pick-ups. But don't let the number of pick-ups fool you. It still has incredible sound. On the plus side, you don't have to worry about hitting the pick-ups while strumming. I also like the fact that it's COMPLETELY HOLLOW! I'm telling ya', this thing is as light as a feather. Also since I decided not to go with the stripped version because of the fact that the pickguard is not attached, I was afraid of gouging the wood I think the color is beautiful.(I don't really say that much about guitars.) What I like about it is that it also has four nobs. 2 volume, and 2 tones, and one three-way pick-up changer. The body is also made up of five layers of wood: maple/oak/maple/oak/maple, so you can bet that it's pretty sturdy. Also what's great about getting this guitar is that it comes with a hard case w/shroud, a Certificate of Authenticity, a book on the history of the guitar, and a heavy sized(I think), white guitar pick with the famous John Lennon drawing on it. I suggest not using, since my experience with picks in the past, the drawing may rub off and I don't think Gibson will send you another one.

This sound is AWESOME!! If you don't have an amp, NO PROBLEM! It's also an acoustic! Because the body is so wide, and is completely hollow, it make it into an acoustic.(Good for those teenagers who want to jam at night and don't want to deal with waking the folks up.) Trust me, I did once and it wasn't fun. What's great about it, besides everything else, is that the sound plugged in or not, the sound is great. It's rich and full sound makes it a great guitar. The guitar, plugged in, with the tone all the way down, sounds like a bass guitar. If you ask me, I have no complaints about this guitars sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar is not a guitar that was rushed while being processed, except when I play and open low E, the pickup spacers buzz a little. But other than that, the guitar is well-manufactured.

Reliability/Durability : 10
And if you are a little skeptical about if it will hold while playing live, don't worry, If lennon could do it for 15 years, then anybody can do it. The hardware, since it has five layers, will last. Trust me. The finish is just like the hardware, very durable even through the midst of jamming. And don't go easy on it, you can depend on this guitar for anything. Without question I would use it on a gig without a back up. Once again, if Lennon can do it, ANYONE can!

Customer Support : 10
I've only tried to order from them, but I finally just went to a nearby guitar shop to save trouble, but the staff there are very friendly and helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
Even though i'm only 17, and have been playing for two years I still love this guitar. I really don't know what I would do if it were stolen because I wanted it for 6 months and finally got it for Christmas from my parents. I love every bit of this guitar and hate nothing of it! But I would have to say that my favorite feature is the hollow body and vintage sunburst color. The only thing that I wish it had on it was an actually signature from the man himself and written proof that he played it. My final thought is that anybody who is a Beatle fan and/or Lennon fan, I highly suggest you get this guitar. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
