This Guitar is fucking work of art .I believe it is a Korean or Japanese model, late 60's or early 70's.The neck is like a beatiful dream that you dont want to wake up from,it's almost impossible to put down.Whenever i take it out of it's case i cant help but say dayyyyuummm.Gorgeous,It's also the prettiest casino available it does'nt have that shitty looking (Casino) headstock it's a full size.I believe it's walnut.

My guitar can kick your guitars ass, need i say more. This thing is screamin, i love the beatles and it can obviously do those well but man sometimes i crank up the gain and drop the sucker to D and it is so raw.You know you could'nt do that live or people would think you were a total jackass but the sounds, man the sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action on this thing can simply make me cry if i think a bout it hard enough. It's a beatiful thing.People are going to think i'm crazy but i played es-335's that were built alot more hastily. This guitar seems to have been put together with extreme attention to detail.Nothing lose ,nothing falling off ,pick-ups can kick your ass, originally the hardware was gold there is some fading but hey it's over 30 years old.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It is one of my more solid axes even though it's hollow.Stays in tune forever the finish is a little thin but you know these particular models like to "breathe".You can pluck a note walk away, pour a cup of coffee and take a shit , it's still singing

Customer Support : 10
I have yet to deal with them .I have aquired some luthier skill in my 12 years of playing enough to get by anyways.

Overall Rating : 10
In a perfect world, everyone would own my guitar.

Year: 1968; Made in Korea, solid top, body made of walnut, two volume/two tone, with a three-way pickup switch, split bridge tailpiece, and pickups are HOT as blazes. The action is extremely low~~I can actually blow across the strings and play it... Don't know who made the tuners, but they are extremely thin and easy to turn... I think it has a 1.62 or smaller neck, which makes it a dream to play...YES, I am VERY happy with it...have had it since 1979...bought in a PAWN Shop after trading in a keyboard and sax worth about $600 then, with about $200 in cash... Best deal I ever made!!

Sound : 10
I play Top 40, Straight-ahead AND Contemporary Jazz, Rock, R&B, some fusion, etcetera... This baby stands THE test... It's very light, the wood is completely dry through and through, and I get a consistent "Woman tone" from it... I've used the best amps with it, but now use the Roland Blues Cube with it, and it screams blues out with passion... Santana's old stuff sounds original with it, even with my Rocktron and Art/DoD Preamp rig setups, it remains a consistent axe...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I set it up myself, but only because the previous owner used heavier gauge strings...I have the lightest action Elixir strings on it, because I still get a good tonal balance from bass to treble across the neck. For me and others (very close professional musicians only), this axe is the bomb! Beats the living sh@#t out of the new generation of Casinos hands-down!!

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've been playing this axe since 1979 from stateside to Europe and back again...the trim is faded from the years of wear, and the pickguard is lost from an attempted theft, but it still looks and sounds great!

Customer Support : 10
Nobody, not even the Senior Luthiers for Epiphone touch this guitar for no reason, so I'll never know how good/bad customer support is... I know that I once wanted to have the electronics checked out for a buzz, but found out the buzz was from the amp I was using, not the guitar...so, there you go!

Overall Rating : 10
Since 1968, so I guess that's 32 years...or 224 dog years...:-)) I'd buy ten of 'em if I could get them... I've compared this guitar to all the new Casinos and a few older versions...it stands out...probably moreso because of the walnut... It really sustains well...
