Sound??? This guitar was so bad that I could not even properly tune it. The best that I can say about this guitar is that it sounded better when it was still in it's closed case. I am 64 years old and and have played guitar for a number of years. I own two Martin guitars, an HD-28 and a DC-28E. This guitar is a true piece of junk. I can't believe that Esteban even puts his name on it!

As to the action, again, what action??? You could not even tune the guitar. The strings buzzed worse that a swarm of angry bees. Yiou could not play even simple chords using the first three frets. Speaking of frets, they were high and sharp. The fireworks painted on the guitar were beautiful and well done. What a sheme to waste the art on such a horrible guitar. The area around the sound hole was hand painted - I think by someone in Chinese kindergarden. There were even areas where unpainted the wood showed through.

Reliability/Durability : 1
Based on the contruction that I saw, I don't think this guitar would stand up to any playing. I have only seen wood that was thinner on the wings of a model airplane. Kind of like the old 29 cent gliders that you used to buy at the dime store. They clain the fret board is rosewood. There wer onfinished areas though that looked more like cheap plywood.

The warranty was $19.95 for one year. Since I kept this guitar for one day I did not get a chance to use the warranty. I am just glad it had a 30 day return policy and feel this feature will be used far more than a warranty. When you start with a piece of crap teh warranty would only yield a piece of repaired crap.

Overall Rating : 1
I have been playing for most of my 64 years. I have three guitars. I own a Martin HD-28, a Martin DC-28E (just purchased last year), and a Takamine 2003 Limited edition Eagle guitar. Over the years I have played a Washburn, several Takamines, several Martins and an Ovation.

I purchased the Esteban guitar to see if it could possibly be as bad as most reviews make it. I found it was even worse!!!
