Basically i wanted a left handed version of the Fear Factory Jackson, but with a neck pickup.
Alder body, maple neck w/ ebony fingerboard, emg 81-7's, string through body tunematic.
So this score is for what i asked for.

Sounds ok for metal ala cannibal corpse, divine heresy etc, mainly down to the emg's

This is the part i'm annoyed about.
The build and finish quality is poor, Not worth the money paid at all.
The first neck twisted at the nut on the treble side after 2 months,
so they had to build a new one, which did'nt fit the pocket on the body so has gaps down each side.
The neck wood quality is poor, basic quarter sawn maple.
The fit and finish on the frets looks cheap and also buzzes all over the place.
The nut is cut poorly so the strings stick in the grooves.
The body holes for the strings were drilled obviously before he had the bridge, because they were measured to imperial and the tonepros bridge is metric, so the strings are at an angle.
The new neck's angle was cut wrong so had a SHIM under it to get the right angle.
Not a pro built guitar in any way.

I'll have to see, but i'm not convinced it'll last as long as it should.

Its been back to the shop 3 times.
After i had it back the first time for the new neck, the set up was rubbish and then i found the shim!
Took it back again so they could re-angle the neck and re-cut the nut, but is still rubbish.

With a bucket full of hindsight, i should have gone elsewhere.
I dont even think feline actually craft the guitars, they just take orders and then farm the parts out for others to build, so you might as well order from warmoth, same thing!.

This is a lefty 7 string loosely based on an Ibanez UV777BK but without the mirror pickguard. Material wise:
Mahogany body (RG 7 shape)
Maple neck with an Ebony fretboard (24 frets - 25.5# scale)
Has sharkfin inlays (not stickers - pearly :p)
The neck profile is was based on a Jem but obviously the dimensions were increased as it's a 7 string neck.
6105 frets. Jumbo, but not super jumbo like the 6100's.
Chrome hardware - a Lo Pro Edge 7 (not made for us left handed folk but somehow Jonathan got a normal one machined left handed style!) 2 Volume and 1 Tone knob(s). Has a 3-way Gibson style toggle switch.
It has Dunlop strap locks too.
2 EMG 707 pickups running on 2 18V batteries. Not a niggle but for some reason the bridge pup is ever so slightly further away from the bridge than you traditionally find on 2 humbucker guitars, although this doesn't appear to affect the tone in any way so it's more me being super picky...
Now the best bit - this guitar is finished in the good' ol glossy black but has mother of pearl binding running ALL the way around the guitar - it looks purdy!
Came with a nice hardcase with the Feline logo on. It's a great case - very lightweight but feels very solid as well.

It's a bit of a monster really - the EMG's are dead quiet and scream METAL. I try and play a bit of everything but this guitar was really made for rockin' and it does it's job perfectly. I only have a little Tech 21 Trademark amp and the moment (a 1x12) but this thing still sounds HUGE through it, so I can't wait to test it out on my friends stack.

Everything was set up quite nicely. Everything was top notch in terms of construction and finsh. I'm usually a 9's guy but I switched to 10's with this thing and I don't think my hands have adjusted yet, but that'll soon change. It just needs a little tinker and then I'm pretty sure it'll be able to play itself hehe.

Everything seems rock solid - although I'm scared to take it out the house as it's so lovely. I'm more of a bedroom noodler/play with friends rather than a band type at the moment so it's not going to be gigged or anything.

Since Feline Guitars isn't massive (yet :p) it's always easy to get in touch and Jonathans always answered the phone directly to deal with any queries I have. I'm getting my old Ibanez RG470 done up soon by him, and after that I have a couple more projects I'd like to pursue as well! Plus it's only a 1/2 journey from my house by car so I can usually catch up on the work in progress most of the time. He's also sent plenty of pics during construction so I could see how my baby was coming along.

I've been playing about 4 1/2 years and as a lefty it's always been a real pain finding left handed guitars. Getting Jonathan to build this thing, although a bit pricey for a student like me has proved a dream come true. Thanks to his great payment system though everything went very smoothly and I got a great guitar that I'd never consider selling. It looks, plays and sounds great. It's my first 7 string, and probably won't be my last hehe.
