Hi, I had my own 'Red Special' made in 2003, its not a Brain May copy but a guitar that suits my own needs, however it is red. Its kind of a cross between a melody manker and les paul Junior, good mahogany, fixed bridge, three a side headstock, double cutaway and sweet pickups. It may not be a 'kack of all trades' but is certainly master of the one that I use it for.
The guitar cost me #1,400 with a Feline hard case, I think this is good value as it was made for me, to my specs and very well crafted.

Jonathon sourced some old mini humbuckers and these do sound sweet, coupled with the mahogany they give a good accont of themselves for all blues and rock duties (great Thin Lizzy tones)also copes with charaterful clean sounds as well.

As you might expect from a custom handbuilt guitar everything here is 10 out of 10.

Being a perfectly executed variation on a tried and tested design concept the guitar will last decades.

Jonathon is always prepared to talk guitars, I have not has cause to call on a warranty but I know that it would not be an issue.

I have been playing for over 20 years and have a number of guitars that I use live and at home, the Feline red special fits a niche for me for something well built, with good sounds that's a bit classic but not 'off the shelf'.
Would I do anything different, the good thing about a custom build is that theres is always a next time and I do like the idea of three pickups !!!!
