This is a F series number made in Japan, therefore is a 1986-87 model. Alder body, maple neck and rosewood top 21 frets. It mounts three unbelievable single coils pick up (perhaps they are standard pick up but they sound a lot like Tex-Mex) 5-way selector. The guitar is a pefect replica of a Red Fiesta 1961 but I replaced the pick up guard with a white pearl one! Looks killer! Tuners locker are pretty damn good, it came with a Gotoh set!

Sound : 10
This guitar screams through a VOX, a Daddy-O by Danelectro and a Peavey Classic 30 Watts tube amp. I LLLLLove Blues, and be sure that this guitar won't ever let you down! Very silent setting, amazing. When I play it clean, it gives me a Bonnie Raitt sound! I also own a Zoom 505 multi effect processor, and I can nail down who ever sound I want to!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This babe is P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I lowered the pick up almost all the way down, that way I get a better sound! I can use the entire 21 frets, very easy to play. When I got it used there were (and still are) a couple of cracks here and there in the red finish that in my opinion makes it look even better.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar was made with left over U.S. parts, and belive me or not sounds simply great. I tryed new U.S made, Mexico made, and new made in Japan also, and for the same models this guitar has no competition at all! If you are looking for a Strat, stop by all the store and ask for a Japnanaise Made in the 80's, get it!! It will make you save some bucks and give you a better value! Have you ever played a Mexico made distorted? Ugh!!! Horrible sound!!! As Wayne Campbell would say:"Exalibur."

Warranty? For what? This guitar is already 12-13 yrs.old and I do not think that it will ever need help! Unless I wear out the neck!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 16 yrs.now, and this guitar is one of the best I ever owned. When I saw it hanging on the wall at the shop it was covered by three pounds of dust, the neck was full of dry sweat, the volume and tones knobs were loose, the hardware was almost gray by the dry dust in it, the back plate was missing and the pick up guard was cracked all over and nasty. I brought it at home and I cleaned it for three hrs, I replaced the pick-up guard, bought a new set of D'Addario strings 0.10 I plugged it in and: WOW!!! It sounded like a reborn Axe! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes just because something does not look that great it does not mean that is not good! I am looking for others, but it seems pretty hard to find, I am still wondering why this guitar was returned in the first place! Oh well thanks who ever you are!
