I play a little bit of everything. Fits most music styles. Using a Fender Stage 100 head w/Carvin 4x12 cabinet. No noise from single coils. Wonderful sound. Hey, it's a Fender.

Here's where this one stands alone. Have played many guitars. This one is king. Neck and action, like butter. Solid, feels like it's part of your body. I set this up a year ago, and besides changing strings, don't have to touch it. Stays in tune very well even in my ever changing climate of Minnesota.

I treat it like a newborn baby, but there's no need to. Built to last. As dependable as they get.

Been playing for 20 plus years. Also own an American Telecaster. Would replace if lost. Or find if stolen. I will never part with this guitar. if you have the chance to own one, do it. I would pay twice the price I paid for it.

It suits my music style perfectly. I play retro-rock, acid rock, acid jazz, blues, funk, etc. ( steve winwood/traffic, clapton, lenny kravitz, george harrison, jamiroquai, ernie isley, keb moe.)
I play through a 1997 Crate VB5212 all tube
The sounds are really nice. the neck, middle, and bridge pick ups sound hot crisp and sweet. really warm vintage tone with that spark and bite! astounding!

Well i bought it used off some guy. The action wasn't that great. but i clean the bad boy up and slapped some slinky's on it and it plays great. P-ups were adjusted perfectly. Everything looks fine to me..the neck pocket is tight..neck is straight. It has a very small ding in it on the bottom below the selector. i even forgot it was there. nice wood, sometimes the bridge pup cuts out but i fixed that. no loose knobs and switches. good stuff.

This is a new 2000 model purchased from musician's friend. It has three texas special single coil pickups and the usual volume/tone/tone
knobs with the five way selector switch. It came with nine gauge strings a polishing cloth, strap and straplocks. It came in a molded case instead of a rectangular one (which I would have preferred)The case is nice, though, made by SKB and does a fine job of protecting the guitar. I chose it in candy apple red. I liked the shoreline gold, but it would have added 100.00 to the final cost. It's an opaque color so I don't see why it would have needed an ash body sans the alder it came with. The nitro cellulose laquer is very pretty on the body and the neck appears to have more of a satin type clear finish. It has everything I expect in a strat but with the addition of a pearloid pickguard and tremolo cover.

This guitar sounds fantastic. From R&B to blues from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Steven Vai. The action is smoother than my 94 Anniversary strat. I think the newer neck shape contributes to this as well as what appears to be better hardware and one less string tree. The rear pickup can be too "tinny" at times. I've thought of replacing it with a lace sensor. The sound equals any strat I've played and I've played alot. I currently use it with a Yamaha fx770 processor, and if UPS will get on the ball, a Marshall MG80RCD.

The guitar was set up quite well from the factory, I feel little need to change things. The finish is outstanding. The overall feel of the guitar is great, I especially was impressed with the quality of the bridge and tremolo compared to my 94. Palm muted notes don't effect this bridge nearly as much. They also did away with the laminated poplar bodies and swimming pool type routing (I wouldn't have bought it otherwise)

It's an american Fender Strat. It's timeless, and will continue to sound great even under moderate abuse. They have also improved the metal in the hardware, I don't expect it to corrode as much over time.

Never called them, My first guitar was a 75 music-master and I have yet to call Fender for anything. (They have all been american though)

I'd give it a 10 if the back pickup sounded better, and if the case that came with it was a little nicer. Overall, I love this guitar. If it were stolen and I found the suspect, I would detain him for the cops minus his head. I would replace it in a heartbeat. I know everyone has they're own preferences, but I've played em' all and the strats fit me. I considered a Les Paul (also a wonderful guitar)I just don't feel they are worth the 2000.00+ sticker price. The action on my strat is nearly as good as an LP and half the price. This guitar just oozes history and nostalgia and Fender has raised it's standards back to where they belong.
