it's a mexican but what the hell can go wrong with one pick up and volume knob. 21 frets on maple fingerboard/neck, it hasa single humbucker bridge invader which sounds bad ass, i have the black with pearl pick gaurd, it looks pretty sweet, i prefer a guitar that isnt flashy so black is perfect, set up sucked shit but that can be fixed, thin neck, plays great, camw with gig back and free mike from musician's friend

Sound : 10
sounds great for the kinda punk that i play, great twangy kinda sound, couldnt tell it was a mexican unless u told me to look on the back of the head stock and still sounds great, actually i've played mexicans that sound better than americans.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
action is great nice and low, set up out of factory was crap, but juss intunate and your set, simple hardward, no tremelo, easy tunning etc. the only flaw i c in my guitar is the dent in the headstock from when i hit it in the fan at band practice jumpin all around the first day i got it

Reliability/Durability : 10
great for live performance, u can throw it around, since it's not an expensive guitar i decorated it with stickers and put strap locks on it to be my punk rawk show guitar

Customer Support : 10

this guitar was made in mexico. it has 21 frets, single chrome volume knob, and a single seymour duncan invader pickup. the perfect setup for what i play which is mostly punk. it has a string through body hardtail bridge. and it has vintage tuners, which contrary to previous posts are better than the tuners on my USA standard strat. it has nice low action. it has a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard with jumbo frets and a large 70's style headstock. it came with a deluxe gig bag. a very good guitar sounds great clean even without the tone knob and sounds even better distorted.

Sound : 10
i love this guitar because i mostly play punk rock and this is perfect for it. you can play anything with light distortion to very heavy distortion. i also like to play blues but i use my usa standard strat for that. it's not noisy at all! i have absolutely no dislikes about this guitar

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the action is perfect for me, very very low.the pickups were a little close to the strings so i lowered it. other than the pickup needing adjustment there were no flaws. it has a beautiful surf green finish with a pearloid pickguard, easily the prettiest guitar i have ever seen.

Reliability/Durability : 9
this guitar will definitely withstand live playing. the hardware seems like it will last for the rest of my life. i am probably going to change the strap buttons cause they are very cheap, the same ones that are used on the mexican standard strats. i will probably replace them with schaller straplocks. i can definitely depend on this guitar, it is so simple and easy to play! you just plug it in and crank it up.

i haven't dealt with fender before. this guitar was on backorder for a long time and was delayed about a month. so i would keep calling musicians friend to ask them when they expect the guitar. and they would always say friday. then i would call back on friday and they said next friday. their website was even worse they never update their stock info and the dates were always messed up. on july 1st it said that my guitar was coming in on june 15th.

Overall Rating : 10
this guitar is perfect! i have been playing for 2 years and i own a mexi standard strat, a USA standard strat, and a yamaha f-310 acoustic. this guitar is easily my favorite because i could never get the right amount of distortion that i wanted from my strats with the single coil pickups. the first time i plugged this guitar in it sounded great! i didn't need to adjust the amp or the settings on my pedal at all! i love this guitar and it is going to stay with me for the rest of my life.

It's Mexican and was probably made in 2001. It's made of what they call non-veneered alder. What ever that means? The pickup configuration consist of a single humbucking pickup and one volume knob. That's it! But sounds incredible. The pickup is a genuine Seymour Duncan Invader. The bridge is non-tremelo and it's string-thru body. I don't like the unreliable vintage tuners though and plan to change them out sometime. The guitar has a pretty cool black finish with a white pearloid pickguard and the pickup is also white. A fender gig bag was included. I forgot to mention it's also got a large vintage style head stock.

This guitar suits my style perfectly. Just one tone, aswome! I play mostly metal music particularly in the style of Hoffmann/Schenker. Apart from the Eurometal style I'm into a little blues. The guitar is extremely basic, all you got is a volume knob and you get thick kick butt distortion and really nothing else. If you're into just plugging in and going for it, this axe is for you. I kind of wish it had a tone knob on it. You know just to tweak the tone a little. That's ok with me though because I can just mess with the amp setting a little to get the sound I want.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set-up from the factory was terrible. What do you expect from mass production? The pickup adjustment was ideal since I've read that the Invader will start acting funny if you get the pickup to close to the strings. Other than that, the guitar came picture perfect from the factory.

Reliability/Durability : 8
The guitars seems reliable, however, because of the vintage style tuners I expect to experience some tunning problems playing live. The hardware seems pretty durable and It looks like the finish will withstand some abuse. Because of the tuners, I would most certainly use a backup.

I've been play almost 20 years, I guess. I own a Gibson SG special with a Duncan JB pickup and Peavey Vandenberg with a Duncan distortion. For amps I've got a Peavey Classic 100 tweed head and a Line 6 Flextone HD. For cabs I use a pair of Marshall 212 cabs and a Fender 412 cab. If it were stolen I'd be pissed and kill someone. I would then probably buy another. I love the basic configuration of it. The idea of just one pickup and one volume knob appealed to me because in my opinion that's all you really need to play rock n roll.

This guitar is the best strat I've ever played. It was made in Mexico. It has a thinner neck than most strats, and the action is very low. It has one control knob, which is a volume knob, and it has one pickup in the bridge position which is a Seymour Duncan Invader, which in my mind is the best pickup that Seymour Duncan offers. The Invader pickup can be used for many different styles including heavy metal, blues, punk, and rock. The strat has 21 Medium frets. The bridge is a hardtail one. The neck is Rosewood, and the body is Alder. The tuners are old vintage style ones, and the headstock is like the large design from the 1970's. The Tom Delonge comes in four finishes: Graffiti Yellow, Surf Green, Daphne Blue, and Black. The neckplate says Tom Delonge on it.

Sound : No Opinion
The Tom Delonge Strat suits my musical style really well. I play a lot of metal and a lot of rock stuff, like Dave Matthews Band, Weezer, Blink 182, some Megadeth, Green Day, and Nirvana. I use it through a Crate GFX-120 with just straight out distortion. The guitar is very quiet. Its got a rich, full sound. The guitar can make lots of sounds, from screaming lead, to quiet rhythm. I love everything about this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The action on the Tom Delonge Strat is perfect. Its nice and low like an Ibanez RG series. The pickups were perfect too. The bridge and top were also fine. There were no flaws whatsoever in the guitar.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
You can really beat the hell out of this live and it would hold up. The hardware will last definitely. The finish won't wear off. The strap buttons are perfect. This is definitely an instrument I can depend on. I play lots of styles, so I would always have a backup guitar.

I have been playing 2 and a half years, and this is one of the best guitars I've ever played. If it was stolen, I would definitely have to buy another one. I love everything about this guitar. I compared this guitar to a couple Strats, all of which were horrible sounding with high action.

this strat has the worst features I've ever seen, it has a hardtail locking brigde, a semour duncan humbucker, 21 frets a maple fingerboard and that is about it. I doesnt have any pickups only the semour duncan invader humbucker at the bridge, Other than that all it has is 1 volume knob and a wide 70's headstock. Of course it has a nice seafoam green finish too.

Sound : 10
I play a lot of punk (greenday, blink...etc.) and this guitar is the pefect guitar, the sound is sort of trebley but it has incredible tone, which gives it a sort of a rough sound but i love the sound so it doesnt really matter.
also I played it with a marshall jcm 900
