It is a child's guitar that I bought for my daughter. Few features- One humbucking pickup. One volume knob. 22.5" scale. Lots of gaudy stickers come pre-stuck on it- I've removed all but one. My daughter liked the one around the volume knob. I don't mind the lack of features. I like the simplicity. It also came with a crappy little amp that we don't use. Body is wood from the parasol tree- whatever that is. Not sure about the neck and fretboard- maple and rosewood respectively, I think. Body style is sort of LPish but I think unique to First Act. They use this body style on some of their other models. Light green color.

It sounds horrible playing chords on the low strings- hard to describe but like it is sick and ready to vomit. Really. Chords on the high strings aren't too bad and single notes sound OK.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action was very high even though the box said it had a low action for easy playing. Action was easily lowered though. Frets are sharp sticking beyond the width of the fret board. I filed them down. Fretboard was dry in spots. I rubbed some mineral oil on it.

It is a child's guitar. It will probably last until the kid grows out of it.Gig with it? Nah.

My daughter has just started and was too small for my guitar. I've been playing for a year and have an ESP LTD H-50 which is a low end guitar but which sounds much better than this First Act. This guitar fits her though and she likes it. I must admit that sometimes I pick it up and play it from time to time.
