First Act ME-448

This thing was made in China and I bought it as a joke because it was green and looked like a retro double cutaway.Shaped kind of like a les paul double cutaway.Solid body Has 2 Humbucker Pups and I thought I would change them out but no,I think they sound great!Neck is Maple and feels great body seems to be basswood.Bridge is a cross between a strat and a tele string through bridge with strat like sting guides.Tuners are the ones like on lots of low end guitars but they stay in tune so what more can you ask?Nice frets better than alot of stats I have owned,Rosewood fret board fine.

I bought this thing to change every thing including PUPs but it sounds great after I set it up I lowered the action and tweeked the truss rod alittle and bingo plays as good as my Paul.No scratchy noises and Front PUP sound clean and bridge sound like a strat.bright but not too bright just right.With both PUPs it sounds like an SG.Used it on a Fender solid stae amp and on a Peavey classic 50 tube and used all effect pedels withit from Fabtone to wah pedel and reverb all sound great.

Factory set up not half as bad as I expected took me 30 min or so of adjusting for intonation and lowering action.
I adjusted the Pickups.rest of finish was great.

Yes this guitar will gig and gig hard.The hard ware will last as tough as any squire I may change the tuners one day,no time soon.Solid strap buttons and in the right place too.Seems to be dependable I will know in a year and that is something in itself I bought this thing as a joke and now it is on of my Favorite guitars.I'll bet Page would have played it reminds me of a Danelectro

2 year warrenty go figure!

Been playing since the late 60's and I have owned Les Pauls and American Strats and a Yengwie Malmsteen Strat.If it werelost or stolen I would buy another.I love the headstock it is shaped like Gumby.
