this is a 'first act' mod. 423 solid body electric. nice and simple, it has one humbucker and just a tone control and volume. bought this is a large discount 'box store' for $136. didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. the neck is excellent, totally straight and properly intonated., feels much like a Tele. tone is well-balanced but has kind of a 'honking' character, but that's not bad. neck is maple and has rosewood face..i'd say medium-jumbo,22 frets. came with strap, instruction booklet, picks, and a small, 4 watt amp, powered by 2 9-volts. haven't tried that yet..would've liked it better if it also ran on 110 volt. the strings that came on it suck, sound fine but leave black stains all over your fingers..minor point. tuners seem ok, it's gone out of tune a couple times already, but that happens with any new strings..will need to see if that's a problem down the road..if so, i'll get aftermarket tuners. for the price, an excellent little guitar that plays great, and sounds fantastic.. screams when you want it to, and plays quiet and fender-clean on lower volumes.

been playing more than 30 years, very happy with this guitar, esp. for the $. I have a Korean Strat, 1964 Airline, and 'sweet baby', my homebuilt. tons of other gear, tested this thru my '69 Sunn, Peavey bass, and 100W epiphone triggerman. the 80W Sunn sounded best, heavy-duty tube crunch and endless sustain.
