I??bought this guitar February 2007 as new. Was made at 2006 in Germany. Body ash, neck ovangkol, natural finish, 2 humbackers seymour duncan SH-4 bridge, SH-1 neck, body style tele, bridge tele thru-body. Gigbag included + directions for use and service instructions as well.

Sounds to me all style guitar. I play hard rock mostly and this guitar can do its work very usefully. I use Engl Thunder amp + 2x12" V30 loaded, + 2x12" Classic lead 80 loaded.
Sound on bridge is in the middle enough i need but harmonic spectrum not very wide.
Middle position - both pickups together used especially for clean sound thats really something, beautiful! Full, rich sound, I use it with pleasure for lead channel as well.
Neck position OK, but goes to feedback a lot, even if the gain is very low.
There is a push/pull function on volume control, but imho only for studio use, ??cause the volume goes very low when it??s switched.

Guitar was nice set-up from the factory, I had to adjust pickups a little bit, but it has it??s personal features. Over all very good. Maybe I should mention the company sign on the guitar head - schizophrenic :).

Lately I found that some bridge details in thru-body point wasn??t brushed well a it seems that material used for bridge has to be Mao quality ??cause after one year playing the string D started break all the time without any visible reason. Nice natural finish goes fade away in place where the hand is leaned, but it depends how you are sweating :). In place where use to be pickguard is the wood splintered a lot, but my style is wood-cutting. Warwick strap locks is impossible to tighten, was included free to guitar but it matches to it??s price, I have to change them.

This company is not making some cheap models, but what happened to me is strange. I asked the company for help about string D nut. I was recommended to buy what I need. I asked again because my guitar was under 24 months guarantee, company answered me that the serial number signs that the guitar was made at 2006 and guarantee has expired, I??ve bought the guitar at February 2007! Help yourself.

My Renegade Pro was made in 2004 in Germany.
As you know Framus was bought by Warwick and therefore hand made there.
It has one Tone and One volume which is also a push pull switch that splits the pickups from Humbucking to single coil sound.
Pickup confguration is two Humbuckers, Classic PAF style made by Seymour Duncan.
SSL1 and SSL4, passive electronics.
The body is made of 2 piece light US swamp Ash, the neck is made of Ovangkol with Rosewood fretboard, it has dot inlays.
it has natural oil finish.
The bridge is Tele type as well as the body shape,
color is natural wood color.
It has Framus tuning machines, I don't believe it has any locking tuners.
I don't like the way you load new strings into it, I'd prefer using fender type of tuners where you just insert the strings forward and roll the tuner till the strings is locked in the tuner rather than having to cut the strings and put it from above to the hole.
I'd say the frets are kind of small like Gibson, I don't mind,
I can handle anythin.
The guitar came with a soft case by Warwick, Premium model.
Included was the instruction manual, warranty card, Truss Rod tool and strap lock screws to attach to your belt, the mechanism is already installed. Finally a Wax was included to protect the oil finish I guess.

Well, to begin with, I was looking for a guitar that will suit many musical styles, something very flexible but yet with its own character.
My style I guess is the conventional Rock, I do like 80's Rock of all kinds and I also like solo Guitarists like Steve Vai or Satriani, Eric Johnson, I come from a classical music backround, which then turned into Rock and Metal.
I'm a musician. I play keyboards and drums as well.
I like guitar the most. I'd say my style varies somewhere btween all the musical styles that I love to listen.
This guitar suits me very well, it has great and powerful clean,
yet bright, and very warm distortion even in high gain settings,
it won't get lost in all this Distortion.
I have an Amp which is Peavey Bandit 112, the Transtube generation,
I have a Radial Tonebone Hot British as my solo Distortion,
I have a Boss CH-1 super chorus and DD3 delay pedals.
I also have V-amp2 for silent practicing.
The only time I get real noise is when I use the splitting because it splits the coils to single coils where you also lose output
and then you have the hum.
Like I said, it has Rich sound and very open, but not an Ear killing high frequencies.
I believe this guitar can pretty much do anything as long as you play it and you don't try to use it as a broom or anything alike.
I like this guitar's sound for real. It's got all that I need and the included Seymour Duncans do their job the best it can.

The guitar was setup just the right way from the factory, there's a signature in the warranty card that it was inspected at the factory, which is a must for any new guitar you buy nowadays and I'm sure every guitar is released this way unless it's a really low end guitar.
The pickups were little low in height to my taste so I raised them just a bit and now it's perfect.
I must say, for a hand made guitar I found no flaws of any kind,
I was amazed and yet very pleased.
The frets are perfect and everything is connected just the right way, the Bridge is also set right, it stays in tune and the guitar sustains beautifully.
It's definitely worth the money.
I'd say it's fabulous but I never give an A for anything because we're still humans and we make mistakes.

I'm sure that I'd take this guitar for a gig.
The hardware looks solid enough and firm enough to last for many years to come.
The natural Oil Finish is little much of a riddle to me,
I have no idea what would happen to it throught the years, I guess I'd keep waxing it and keep an eye on it and let it do its thing.
The Strap locking looks just fine to me, I can't really tell...
I never used Strap locking stuff.
The guitar itself is more than dependable, most definitely.
I'd definitely use it in a live gig without a backup, maybe another string set in my case but that's all.
It has normal bridge so replacing strings is quite fast.
I'd give it an 8.

I've been playing for little over a year but I have my 12 years of musical experience which includes a theory background, Sound engineering, musical arrangement and production and as I said above, I play drums and keyboards as well.
I also own a Fender Stratocaster USA that I also like a lot.
I don't regret buying this guitar even a second, it's perfect.
If it were stolen I'd really cry and get frustrated but I'll move on and whatever happens, I guess I'll roll with it.
I love the sound, I'd prefer a different Finish maybe, my favorite feature is its sound, great and stable sound, it's very accurate and musical guitar.
I heard this guitar next to a 1964 original Black Beauty Les Paul and the LP didn't impress me much, and this Framus sounded just like the thing I'm looking for, I got it the very next day after hearing it.
I wish maybe that it had a Wilkinson type tremolo because I like vibrating Chords, but nothing important.
A great guitar for the money, very high quality guitar, well worth the buy, good things do come in small packages.

Made 2001, Germany - Framus is the guitar part of bass manufacturer WARWICK.
light swamp ash looks like a tele, oiled and waxed , perloid pickguard , 3MEC pickups - 2 like Seymour Duncan SSL1,1(bridge) like SD SL3 middle reversed and 1 JB Jr Humbucker in SC-Format "touching" the bridge SC. The neck is made of lightly flamed maple and has some substance as well as a 3/3 headstock. Wilkinson vibrato one tone and one push/pull volume poti which switches to the JB Jr. no matter what position the 5-way pickup selector's position.
Sound

You can play all styles with it. Looks like a tele. Sounds like a Srat with more bottom punch. The dirty sound is unbelievable on the neck-pu. Hendrix would have died for it. The JB Jr gives a very throaty raw sound, so you have many variations in tone. I don`t understand why framus doesn not build this guitar in this pickup-kombination anymore.
Only dislike: a little bit noisy in SC-Mode (more than my Aria HeavyStrat of the 80s.
This Guitar has much attack.

Action was perfect. Pickups were adjusted well, but neck-pickup cover was broken.
Neck has a special fit in system. Good for the sustain.

Support is excellent!!!!!!
Neck Pickup Cover was broken. So I sent an email to framus/warwick. One day later they ask about my adress. 2 days later I got a new pickup cover, doesn`t cost me anything.
Also nice mail support if you have any questions about the guitar.
Greets to St. Manz.

Tele ash body, 4 PU's from SD (3*SC, 1*HB), Wilkinson tremolo, tone und volume control, push-pull-poti for activating the humbucker PU,...
Sound

Look like telecaster, but the sound is even better than a stratocaster. Gtreat sound, fine sustain and good attack. I use a Dynacord Reference 500, Cry Baby, Hughes & Kettner Tubeman and Tubefaktor some Effekts and a Marshall 1936 2*12. I mean you can get the guitar for every sound you want: rock, metal, jazz, country... . As handy as a swiss army knife.

Very light swamp ash body tele-style, oiled and waxed , perloid pickguard , 4(!) Seymour Duncan pickups - 3 SC SSL, middle reversed and 1 JB in SC form "touching" the bridge SC. The neck is made of lightly flamed maple and has some substance as well as a 3/3 headstock. It has a Wilkinson vibrato system, a graphite nut and one tone and one push/pull volume poti which switches the humbucker no matter what position the 5-way pickup selector's position. All in all a pretty complete package.
Sound

Despite it's tele-ish looks it sonically is more of a very cultivated Strat: The overall sound is open, warm
with lots of highs and a good if not excessive bassy punch. Very good sustain and no dead spots due to the resonant wood and good constuction.
The SC do what you can expect of SDs, offer the full range of Strat sounds with all five posibilities giving a characteristic sound
- my American Standard only has one sound which is almost as pleasing as the five of the Renegade.
The humbucker is a nice extra producing a good fat midrangey distortion and is even OK for playing clean.
Wouldn't try System-of-a-Down with this one, but this is about the
only thing I don't like about it.......;-)

Perfect! Feels smooth, finish is perfect, neck joint is absolutely flawless. Action is VERY low without buzzing. The neck is a dream come true - at least for me it just feels right. Simply plays perfectly!

I own a Fender American Strat and some Korean Washburn MG heavy Strat. I wanted to get a Framus Panthera Pro (Les Paul like) but found this guitar for a ca. 500$ and ordered it. And would do it again. Even for the regular 900$ it offers much better value than
Fender, better sounds than Washburn and pretty unique looks.....
What I really like about this instrument is that it doesn't compromise, I don't have to sacrifice clean sounds (bridge-middle,bridge only) for the sake of a good humbucking distortion as is the case with the standard SSH solution.
BTW: this is a 2001 model. the new one has no pickguard and two
SD Humbuckers.
