This was my third Frankinstein Guitar Works custom built guitar made in January 2008. and was intended to maximize that classic S-Tyle clean "quack" (think early Mark Knopfler) and was a huge success! This guitar features a two-piece featherweight Swamp Ash body - guitar weight is 5.95 pounds - and that is with a Wilkinson tremolo with a heavy block and vintage tuners. A thin nitrocellulose finish in metallic Aztec Gold (just like Eldon Shamblin's 1954 strat he played with Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys) a set USA Custom Guitars T-Style neck with a 1" C shape neck - Birdseye Maple (almost flame-like on the top of the neck) with a maple fretboard with 6105 frets and Paua Shell dot markers.

Also loud acoustically - and also very resonant plugged in. Lollar pickups ooze quack clean in 2-4 positions, swamp ash bite overdriven. Really encourages articulate playing, sweet and bell like clean and just screams overdriven with a bite and great definition.

In my opinion this is the best playing S-style I have ever played (and I have tried a number of vintage 50's and 60's Strats)!!! I am very happy with the playability and tone! Metallic Aztec Gold solid finish with Seppo's special satin nitrocellulose and carnauba wax finish - same wonderful feel to the wood as all the other projects - never sticky, and maximizes resonance. Set neck with super comfortable heel carve allowing easier access to 22nd fret. Seppo builds with very tight its in the neck pocket and I think it really makes a difference.

Same as all the other projects - Seppo was very patient with all my questions and ideas and was really seemed to enjoy making this a learning process. Was able to hand select to body blank and we really put some thought into it and I am convinced that help make all four (three guitars and one bass) better. Cannot believe how light and resonant this guitar is! Had a slight issue with the nut but Seppo fixed that in 5 minutes.

Simply put Seppo builds exceptional, custom guitars. These are Master-built Custom shop quality but with the personal interaction and support you cannot get with the big guys.
