The JazzZ is a brand new left handed solid body guitar created by Seppo at Frankinstein Guitar Works in Woodstock Ontario Canada. Its design is loosely based on a Zemaitis. Flamed maple cap on African mahogany, set maple neck with a carved heel for comfort, 22 medium jumbo frets, rosewood board and even a volute, corian nut, Grover Sta-tite tuners, 2 Dimario classic PAF humbuckers with covers, tune-a-matic bridge, 3 way Gibson style selector, one volume control and one tone control that actually works like it should, top drawer pots and capacitors wired properly for a left handed player, satin nitrocellulose finish, very good quality hard shell case. This guitar is not all things to all people but it has exactly what I asked for so it is complete for features. Nothing missing at all. It's actually very beautiful.

Seppo and I worked on the design together with jazz in mind but this guitar could easily adapt itself to most contemporary settings except metal probably. The sound is outstanding. The tone woods are perfect for vintage output pickups. Very full, warm, and clear with lots of sustain. The guitar operates extrememly quietly. I wanted a sound that would not easily distort with high gain and this guitar succeeds brilliantly.

Seppo makes the bodies and builds the guitars himself so quality control is superb. This is my first really good guitar. I have others too and I love them but this takes it to a different level altogether.Fantasitc playability.

Built like a tank. Very solid feeling. I wouldn't carry a set neck guitar around by the headstock but other than that, with minimium precautions this guitar should go the distance.

I never had so much fun buying a guitar! Seppo is great to deal with. He's very knowledgeable. He answers his e-mail himself, it's a one man operation as far as I know and he sends digital photos too to show the progress of the build. He's a nice guy and a good listener and most of all a very talented luthier. He's already doing a smaller rebuild project for me and I'm excited about that one too.

Give Frankinstein Guitar Works serious consideration. It's an honest business making great guitars at a fair price. If you look at his web site you'll see he can and does build anything you can imagine. My tastes are rather conventional but some of his guitars are way out!I recommend the experience.
