The featurees are pretty much covered under "Sound". It has everything I asked for so it's a complete guitar in that respect. I give it a "10" but keep in mind that it is a Telecaster design so it doesn't get much simpler than that.

MFB stands for Major Frank Burns, a tongue in cheek reference to the fact that it is a Frankinstein made Telecaster body with a Burns short scale maple/maple bolt on neck, bridge, knobs and neck pickup. The Telecaster body is two piece highly figured swamp ash with a green burst satin nitro finish. The bridge pickup is a reissue Broadcaster. Both pups are hard mounted into the body. Gibson style 3 way selector switch and rear cavity for the electronics. This guitar sounds amazing. Even unplugged it is easily the loudest most resonant guitar that I own.The bridge pup is vintage tone all the way and the Burns neck pickup has its own voice that I really like which complements the Broadcaster pickup really well with strong mids and overall presence. Great Tele tone! And nice and quiet too for two single coils.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The fit and finish is top of the line. I've always loved this Burns neck which is why I wanted to use it for this project. Seppo, the man behind the Frankinstein name, dressed the frets for me and replaced the merely adequate plastic nut for a properly cut corian nut. He also altered the color of the gloss headstock slightly so it would better match the appearance of the body. Great attention to details. The playability of the MFB is superb.

This guitar is is as durable as it gets. No problems so far except I have to get rid of the vinyl on my guitar stands because vinyl will eat at the lacquer.
Customer Support

Customer support is the best I've ever experienced. Seppo is a one man operation and he answers his own e-mail and kept me informed of his progress with digital photos. I didn't give him a huge budget to work with on this project but I got my money's worth and more in my opinion. I mean when you look at some of the Fender custom shop Telecasters costing thousands of dollars and the ingredients that went into them and I look at mine you have to ask yourself where is the value in paying thousands more when you don't really have to. I admit my guitar is not your classic looking Telecaster (check out the Frankinstein web site to have a look) but it has character and sounds so soulful it just makes you wonder how Fender can get away with it!

I love this guitar. It sounds and plays great. The best guitar I own except for my other Frankinstein. It's just as good!
