I'm not sure of the date that this guitar was made but I'm guessing it to be 2004 . It was handmade in Canada . It has a solid body made of African mahogany ,two Schaller humbucker pickups ABR / TOM style bridge , B5 style tremolo ,22 fret maple neck with rosewood fretboard , NOS nickel tombstone tuners , 3 way switch ,1 volume and 1 tone pots with mother of pearl inlays . The body has a vintage amber stain with a handrubbed poly finish . The guitar came with a handmade hardshell case and a set of Black Diamond strings .

Sound : 10
I like to play a wide variety of music from rock to jazzy riffs to Pink Floyd and to that Neil Young raunchy country rock sound and this guitar does it all . The amps I use are a JMP Marshall 100 watt , VT 2 - 12 GA and a 60 watt Peavey . Effects are Boss chorus , delay , heavy metal and a Jim Dunlop Crybaby wah .
I was a little concerned that with the neck being unfinshed that I would have trouble keeping it in tune but that wasn't the case at all .

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The Mini was set up great with low action ( something I had to get used to ). There is no fret buzzing . Everything is aligned beautifully and works great . The neck had one very tiny little ding in it nothing noticable and very miniscule and hardly worth mentioning and since it was on loan to a recording studio I'll put it under the stuff happens clause .

Reliability/Durability : 10
I'm sure that this guitar would stand up to live playing . Very dependable .It's built solid and made to last . If you were an abusive player the finish could be a problem as there is no pickgaurd . Treated properly this guitar would last fo centuries . The guitar could be used on a gig without a backup .

Seppo was very helpul and friendly when I talked with him when ordering this guitar . I don't know about the warrany but I do know that Seppo takes great pride in his work and if there ever was a problem I'm sure he'd fix it .

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing for 30 years now . My other guitars are a 1966 Fender Mustang , Fender American Made 1952 reissue Telecaster , Fender Hot Rodded Stratocaster with EMG DG - 20 pickups , Fender Squirer Strat with Evans pickups and a Takamine 2004 Limited Edition acoustic .
I wanted the mini for it's style , hardware , looks and I've always had single coil pickups and wanted to experiment with some different tones with humbuckers . The Mini 335 is solid , has great sustain , stays in tune and sounds awesome with a wide variety of tones. It took me a few minutes to get the feel for the action and when I did it felt like I had been playing it for years . If it was lost or stolen I'd be very upset and get on the phone to Seppo to have him start construction on another one . For anyone who wants an original , handbuilt , solid guitar I'd reccomend Frankinstein Guitar Works .
Hats off to you Seppo .
