Features : 10
I am taking "10" to mean all the RIGHT features - there aren't that many with any E style guitar! This was my second Frankinstein Guitar Works custom built guitar made in January 2008 and the intent of this project was to maximize simplicity. This guitar features a one-piece featherweight Bearclaw Pine body (overall guitar weight maybe 5 pounds as it too light to register on my scale and it is noticably lighter than my gold S styleFrankinstein which comes in just under six pounds) with a thin nitrocellulose finish and Vintage Creme solid finish ("Banana Pudding") and no tummy cut, a set USA Custom Guitars T-Style neck with a 1" C shape neck - plain maple with a maple fretboard with 6105 frets and Paua Shell dot markers. Wilkinson Tele bridge and vintage tuners

Sound : 10
VERY loud acoustically - and actually pretty versatile plugged in even though there is only one Lollar bridge pickup and "Jeff Beck" wiring. Loads of twang but the pine warms it up quite a bit. Really encourages articulate playing, sweet and bell like clean and just screams overdriven with a bite and great definition without being ice-picky. Two no load tone pots send a "straight wire" to the amp when cranked to ten. Classic tones in spades.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Plays like a dream!! For some reason this axe is really suited to chromatic playing - I can play certain passages on this guitar that I can't play easily on any other!

Vintage Creme solid finish ("Banana Pudding") with Seppo's special satin nitrocellulose and carnauba wax finish - wonderful feel to the wood - never sticky, and maximizes resonance. Set neck with comfortable heel carve allowing easier access to 22nd fret.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Rock so0lid build but will be more careful with this one as pine is a rather soft wood but that was my choice!

Customer Support : 10
Same as all the other projects - Seppo was very patient with all my questions and ideas and was really seemed to enjoy making this a learning process. Was able to hand select to body blank and we really put some thought into it and I am convinced that help make all four (three guitars and one bass) better. We were both eager to build with pine and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Overall Rating : 10
Simply put Seppo builds exceptional, custom guitars. These are Master-built Custom shop quality but with the personal interaction and support you cannot get with the big guys.
