This is a semi-hollow body, double cutaway, tele style guitar with 3 active EMG pickups, the patented "Big Daddy" precision stainless steel nut, maple neck, ivory bound maple front and back, heavy pearloid laminated pickguard, five-position switch, active crunch pot with push-pull switching of the bridge pickup, locking Sperzel tunders, jumbo frets, original black plush hardshell case. It was made in 1989.

This guitar is the holy grail of custom telecasters. Not geared toward sounding like a Les Paul or a Gretsch. It can twang like a vintage Broadcaster or it can sing sweetly like a vintage Strat (less the whammy bar). Gets all the single-coil, Fender kind of sounds even better than Fenders. The active pickups work well together. The crunch control is very useful for extra drive and volume. Best appreciated with a good vintage tube amp.

What can I say? Roger Fritz is known for being a perfectionist. The guitar was absolutely flawless.

This is a very solid, well-built reliable, instrument. The finish on it is the deepest and must lustrious I've ever seen. All of the hardware is very rugged and well-plated. I would take this guitar on the road without hesitation. George Harrison, Gary Moore and Roy Buchannan all did with theirs (probably not without backups, but would they do so with any guitar?)

I've been playing for 40 years. This is my best electric. I also have an old Strat and an old Melody Maker. I also play a Gallagher 71 Special, a Gibson J-45, and a Guild D4. This guitar is currently irreplacable. As of this writing, Roger Fritz is gearing up his new shop in Mendocino County, CA and will be making many more of these beautiful guitars.
