I ordered this guitar custom made from roger bucknall at fylde guitars. Brazilian rosewood back and sides and bear claw. He knew what I wanted. Plain gotoh tuners, no electrics at all, ebony binding. An acoustic guitar is best in it's truest form and if you have to compensate for the sound of your acoustic guitar by fitting electronics as a feature then this guitar has no features, but the instrument itself creates the sound.

I have played a multitude of guitars. I know a lot of people who also own a lot of nice guitars. I have owned and played a lot of different guitars and at one point my most favourite instrument was my santa cruz model H but as soon as I got the Falstaff the santa cruz had to go (couldn't compete in the recording stakes). I swopped it for a martin D 28 (something more high pitched than the falstaff).

What I don't understand is why spend all that money(at both ends) only to put plastic bridge pins on such a high end instrument when it totally demotes the product.

You could beat all of your near relatives to within an inch of there lives with this guitar. The finish is very tough and also very fine. The finish is not holding back this guitar. At the best of times, if you lend me your guitar you probably would noy sleep till you got it back but this thing is as tough as old boots.

I have owned a D 28 and a santa cruz H and various mandolins(fylde, levin and some east german thing, and an epiphone). I have a guild 12 string and have owned various bass guitars. At the moment I am really getting busy with recording (the santa cruz was awesome for recording but now it's gone.
