This guitar is 23 of 50.Swamp ash body and gun oil finished birds eye maple neck.Unkike other ASAT's the controls are rear mounted.2 high output soap bar style pick ups.It has dunlop 6100 jumbo frets and locking tuners.

I play alot of styles but I usually play this guitar on country and western swing style of music.It has alot of punch and snap on the bridge pickup and can get a nice jazz tone on the bridge.I play this guitar through a tophat king royale,DrZ maz38 and a B.F. deluxe reverb.The pickups hum but no more than any other pickups.It took a while to get this guitar setup to my fit my taste.I had to lower the bass side of the bridge pickup to get rid of the extra bass.Once I did that and adjusted the pole pieces to get a even string responce I was good to go.This guitar is heavy due to a swamp ash body which is usally a no no for good tone but it works on this guitar.This is a really versitile tele.I have 2 more ASAT's.A hollow body and a alder body model.The hollow body is briter and airy sounding with a little less upper mid bite.The alder body ASAT has alot of throat with nice snap.The 20 anniversary has alot of snap with a really nice upper mid bump.I like them all equally as well but my anniversary has a very special tone.Now to comment on the jack issue.I feel I have alot of experience on this issue since I've owned 5 G&L teles.If you play george L cables like I do then you know that they hate the G&l jacks.I wish G&L would get over the denial and fix the damn problem.Now to their defence georgle L's hate switch craft jacks and that's what G&L use.But so far my tele has had no problem with the jack but my other G&L teles give me hell.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar was setup nice but the action was too low for my taste but everyone has different taste.I hate to give a rating on this because everyone has differnt likes to how they want their guitar setup.G&L set their guitars up to have low action to please the bedroom players who want a guitar to play itself.I was impressed that it sounded as good as it did with low action.The finish is flawless.This guitar is a pro guitar.
Reliability/Durability

I played a few gigs with this guitar and it stays in tune great.I'd gig with this guitar without a backup.

no problems so far but I've called in the past on the jack issue and got nowhere.I told them they need to re think the design and they told me I was the only one that they heard of who had a problem with it.I laughed and said"go to harmony central and read the reviews".Well I guess he got offended but not as offended as I got when my jack cut out while playing in front of 15,000 people.Lets just hope they wise up and take care of it because they make great guitars.
