First off, this guitar is not trying to be a trick of all trades. It is however, the best sounding, and most versatile Stratocaster I have ever played.
Again, it???s a Strat, and a fierce one at that. Tones that come to mind are country, blues, rock, and somewhat jazz but I wouldn???t consider the jazz tones as authentic the way the other genres are so convincingly conveyed.
Also, the tone knob is amazingly useful, most tone knobs go from clean to muddy. All G&L???s tone knobs are actually very functional. Dial back a bit & beautiful mellow tones come through. If you want to cut through the mix more, bring that tone knob back up and you???re cutting right threw the mix and or the band!
I play her through a Fender Deluxe amp; I use a Digi Tech Bad M. Overdrive, and a Boss ME-50 for the rest of my effects. It???s such an inspiring instrument to play. Single coil tones that I have only imagined in my head, and heard on various sessions come blazing out of this monster.
I???m not exaggerating when I say; this is one of the top 3 guitars I have ever owned. I owned MANY in my 25 years playing.

Simply, AMAZING, the feel the neck is like I have been playing this guitar for ever!!!!

I have owned probably 20 G&L???s; they are built like a ten ton truck! They can withstand any type of heavy gigging. The hardware is absolutely World Class!
For the money, you???re not going to get better quality the G&L Period!
