My brand spanking new Gallagher G-70 was made in Wartrace,Tennessee in 2002. It is a standard Dreadnaught size 20 fret guitar. The back and sides are made out of some the most beautiful book matched Indian Rosewood that I have ever seen. The top is constructed out of Sitka Spruce. African Mahogany was the neck choice and on top of that went an ebony fingerboard. My guitar is simple, but it is meticulously constructed with incredible craftsmanship.

The sound is what sold me. Play it loud or soft it will do what you tell it to do. Suits many different styles of playing. As long as I play it easy it will accompany my voice superbly, but it is also a supreme bluegrass guitar. Flatpicking, strumming, fingerpicking, it does all of these with ease.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Right out of the case the guitar is excellent. I have searched this guitar everywhere and the only thing i have found is a tiny flaw in the herring bone rosette, but i think i might have done that. Other than that minor detail its fit and finish is the best.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is,to say the least, sturdy. And I mean really sturdy. Pick one up and you will see what I mean. It is just a solid feeling guitar.

Mr. Gallagher is one of the friendliest men you will meet. He makes you feel right at home when you walk in to his shop. Since only he and about five other guys work in the shop quality control is very tight. Immediately he gave me a tour of his awesome factory. When i was there I special ordered a Guitar that was going to take about 6 months to arrive but he told me to look at a Gallagher at Broadway Sound in Knoxville. I called him back after seeing that guitar and told him how much i really liked it. He gave me his friendly advice on the matter and I cancelled my order and had a beautiful Gallagher sitting in my room the next day. Thanks goes out to the Gallagher crew for building such an awesome guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about three years now and decided that instead of spending my money on all other kinds of worthless junk that I was going to save up my money and by a great guitar. And that is exactly what I did. Would most definitely by another Gallagher if this one was stolen or lost. Anyone who would like a superb instrument no matter how much money you can spend should definitely in my mind check out a Gallagher.
