Bought this Canadian made guitar in 2004 and love it. The solid top Maple finish is simple and well done. It came with a great solid case where it rest with its humidifier (it lives in dry Colorado) until it comes out to play.

I am a finger picker and like the action. The bass is rich and the highs are bright. The only problem with the guitar is a buzz on the bass strings when playing lead up the neck. This happens with all string weights.

The action is tight even with my large fingers and the tight neck there is room to bend. The quality of the guitar from the factory was very good and it still looks new.

The guitar stands up well to live playing and the hardware is very good quality. After four years of playing there is a very small amount of finish wear on the first four frets. Not nearly as bad as my other guitars.

I have been playing for a few decades and own a four other acoustic guitars. If I lost this guitar I would consider replacing it with another just like it. For the cost it is enjoyable to play and has an amazing sound. Except for the bass buzz past the 10th fret the guitar is like a an excellent 10 year old single malt scotch. Not as smooth as a 14 year old from the same distiller, but smooth enough.

This is a simple guitar. Nothing flashy or fancy. I enjoy the simplicity though.

This guitar sounds amazing. I have been playing for 10 years now and i have never heard a better sounding guitar under 1000$. Every note sounds awesome, soft and chill or loud and crazy, its all good. Nothing under 1000$ will beat the sound quality of a Garrison G-30. Simply awesome!

The action is perfect for me. Like i said before, this is not a flashy looking guitar, but the finish is still nice. No design flaws that i have noticed(its hard to notice flaws ona guitar that sounds so good).

This guitar is very durable due to the unique construction of the guitar. It is noticebly heavier than most acoustic guitars.

Been playing for 10 years. I would definitely buy another Garrison if it were lost or stolen, but i would probably get the G-40 or the G-50. But there is NO better bang for your buck guitar out there, i promise. my room mate has a gibson hummingbird that he paid 2000$ for. The Garrison sounds so much better than the hummingbird. It is a joy play.

Another Canadian made wonder. 2002 model G 30 CE with all solid woods used. Solid sitka spruce top, solid Canadian birch for the back and sides, solid rosewood fretboard and bridge, Fishman electronics and cutaway. Satin finish which lets the guitar open up in sound much faster and vibrates more freely. Not a fancy ornate guitar but a very well built and solid great sounding guitar.

The sound of this guitar is what sold me to it along with its simplicity in appearance. The tone is nicely tight and focused. Though I'm more of a flatpicker I believe this guitar would fit nicely for a fingerpicker due to it's clarity and seperation on individual strings. The solid Canadian birch back and sides has a bit more mellow tone than rosewood and yet a bolder tone than mahogany. If you are looking for that "in between tone" this is it. The solid stika spruce top is very much what it should be. I believe this is where it gets its definition from.

Finsh is a satin finish which looks great and feels great to the touch. Cleaning is easy due to not many fingerprint marks. I couldn't find any noticeable flaws but I really haven't looked for them much. When a guitar feels and sounds so good to me I don't really look for finish flaws. To me its not important. It's when a guitar is so so in my hands will I notice every little thing about it. Thus, no flaws to mention.

This guitar feels very solid! I believe this is from the Griffiths glass fibre bracing system. It is said to improve strength and I believe it. However, it does make for a heavier guitar. If it came down to a nice and light weaker guitar or a heavier stronger guitar, I would opt for the latter. Guitar stays in tune very well and the tuners seem to be nicely smooth. Action came to me a bit higher than I like but I also like my guitars to have extremely low action. When I was shopping for this guitar I had played much more expensive guitars with higher action. I like to use silk and steel strings which brought the action down to a height I like. I anticipate this guitar to last me a life time.

I have not had to deal with them for support however I was able to talk with Chris Griffiths, founder and CEO of Garrison Guitars, on a guitar forum and he personally gave me information on this guitar when I was asking for information about it. I thought that was pretty impressive.

As you can read from my review, this guitar is a gem. I have much experience with other Canadian guitars such as Seagull, LaPatrie, Art and Lutherie, and Godin (I know, all same company) and I find them to be of exceptional value. Now that I have discovered Garrison Guitars, I add their name to the list as well. I feel they deserve much applause for offering all solid wood guitars in a price range that is amazing.

Dreadnoght, made in Canada. Solid wood top, back, and sides. Top is Sitka spruce, back and sides are birch, neck is mahogany (older models were birch), fretboard and bridge are rosewood. Tusq nut and saddles. Buzz Feiten Tuning System. Includes very nice hardshell case and strap. One strap button (does anyone know why acoustics do this?) No electronics, they do make cutaway acoustic/electric models. Matte batural finish. Hifh gloss is available. One piece fiberglass bracing/binding structure.

Excellebt. The large size and all solid wood contribute to the rich, full tone. It sounds as good or better than any other acoustic I tried in the under-$1000 range. It also sounds good anolified through a soundhole pickup.

This was a factory second, stamped USED on the headstock, but there were no apparent flaws. It is a rather plain looking guitar without a fancy finigh, but I prefer natural finishes and like the look of the guitar, particularly the contrast between the different woods.

I ordered this guitar mail order. The first one I received had a major crack in it, and was replaced by the vendor. This one has had nor problems. I think the only real issue is the bracing system, which is new technology, so we'll see how well it holds up.

Garrison has an exellent web site and a 5 year transferrable warranty, but this rating is for the seller, K and C Music Products (kcproduc on eBay). They replaced a damaged guitar quickly, communicated with me every step of the way, and their original price included free shipping of a guitar nad a hardshell case. You can't get better service from a guitar seller.

I've been playing music about 30 years, but guitar about 5. I play mostly electric, but wanted a better acoustic than the ones I had. I have some smaller bodied acoustics (Baby Taylor, etc.) and wanted a larger-bodied guitar. This one exceeded my expectation. I have no need for an acoustic any better than this. I would always have a backup for a gig, but that's just because I don't believe in making an audience watch you change strings.
