Bought the guitar new in 2004, Canadian made, solid top spruce with the active bracing which gives it a nice, big sound. Grover tuners, holds its tuning nicely. Perfect width of neck. Found the action to be just right when I got it, now thinking of dropping it a wee bit. No accessories included, but given the dreadnought size, no problem finding a case.

The sound is incredible. Comparable to a Martin or Taylor costing a couple thousand more. I don't know if it is the active bracing, the solid spruce top, or what, but all of my friends, including musicians, rave about the guitar. Rich, clean, no twang from the top strings. It sounds like one imagines a steel string guitar should.

All fine. Finish is nice, like the tortoise shell pick guard myself. Very pretty guitar, abalone inlay, gorgeous gloss. Bridge is not bone, may replace it some day, but sound seems unaffected. Action is not as low as it might be, but no problem pinning all six when I bar. No buzzing.

I have three small sons, 3, 6 and 8. They love my guitar, which means they touch, strum, knock it over, pull on strings, drag it around, and so on. It is tough, baby. Hardware is solid, buttons are solid, tuners are solid. I have total faith in it.

I have only been playing a short while. I initially used a crappy Takamine classical, but the action was so bad that I couldn't bar past the second fret. I figured I needed to go steel string, so I started researching. Since I am new to the instrument, I wanted to keep it inexpensive. I boiled it down to two choices: Blueridge BR-63 and the Garrison AG-600. The Garrison is far superior in virtually every way. It sounds almost as good as a Martin. It really does. Rich, full, warm. Really the best guitar for the money that you will find. In fact, it sounds better than a lot of guitars costing literally thousands more. I will definitely buy a Garrison again, and recommend their guitars to all my friends. A note: I have friends in the music business, guitarists and producers, who went nuts over the sound of my guitar. They could not believe that it was only $450. Two have commented on it to me since then, both expressing their astonishment at how great it sounds. Really an incredible deal.
