Sound : 3
I play ProgRock stuff as well as I'm into a lot of a bit of country and classic fingerpicking also.

Sounds pretty okay but I've played guitars that on the long run are much more fun to use.
To me the guitar as a whole does not really resonate, I always have the feeling its sound remains inside some box squeezed within the guitar. Does not sound really warm rather clear and as I mentioned: stiff
The Piezo is pretty poor, I'm not a big fan of piezo generally but this one sounds very harsh although you can manipulate with the EQ sufficiently

Thus sound is definitly not this guitar's strenght, neither amplified nor unplugged

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
Definitly took some additional setting up when I opened the case, also this guitar proofed very sensitive to climate or whatever as I have to adjust the trusrod very often to remain a reasonable action. Overall the action is pretty bad, this really bugs me as I would expect a Canada-made guitar to be in perfect shape, especially for that price

As you see, the neck need frequent adjustment in order to remain playable, which is a basicly a shame for a 1000 ??? guitar (ca. 1500 USD)

Reliability/Durability : 8
As mentioned above the neck seems to be very sensitive. I'm not a guitar newbie and I'm confident that I can set up a guitar up properly. Nevertheless the G41CE's neck the problem child among my guitars.
Concerning a gig, it's not like the guitar falls apart, if I had to gig tomorrow I would use this one, staps are solid, strings do not break tuning works well, but the piezo sucks ;-)

Live okay, but that's about it

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with Garrison so far

Overall Rating : 3
Overally I'd say this guitar would be okay if it was about 400-500 ???, NOT more. As this guitar cost twice as much I must state that it is definitly lacking quality (pickup + neck) and sound. Though the latter as very sujective I'm absolutely not flattered by the guitar's sound. So why did I buy it then? -I play lefthanded and the southpaw model was available at no charge at all (Ovation charges over 100??? which is about 140 to 150 $)
To sum it up. I would not suggest this guitar to a friend of mine nor would I buy it again, I think Ibanez, Dean and many others sell much cheaper guitars that are just as good as this one. Thus, I'm about to selling this one
I've had this guitar for about 2 years, I've been playing guitar for 8 years right now.
